It would be awesome to see a Moto GP race at Spa again, but the track would have to spend a load of $ to meet the requirements- not much runoff and way too many guardrails - I remember Eddie Lawson winning in the wet one year - crazy crazy-
if i am correct they upgraded the track already to make bike races possible...in the past the runoff was just tarmac and now there are gravel pits on all the major corners.
They already revised the track to make it safer for motorcycle racing. Still, they might need to do more for the MotoGP races
@@mArvAlcao71I spoke with Freddie Spencer a couple of weeks ago - he told me that it's not even CLOSE to meeting Moto GP standards and he also said they have no interest in racing there anyway

There's a bunch of tracks that I would love to check out but Spa freaks me out a bit. It's just so damn fast.
I'm about to do this in half a year, any advice on this? We'd be renting a bike (yamaha r1) and be doing 4* 2 hours with the first of them a teaching course. I have driven few circuits, also Nurburgring but all with car, and lots of gocart. I drive the motorcycle for 16 years now, but to be honest I'm nervous as f*ck to go drive it. I hope there's not too much pro drivers that day, there's a lot of speedy parts in it indeed!
