He unfortunately isnt a goal scoring winger but if Haaland can evade his man or their is a cut back to a player arriving late in the box I forsee him assisting a lot. He didn’t say that. He said it’s weird how when he played left footed players play on the left but now it looks almost awkward. He said traditional wingers look awkward in modern football, like they can’t do it anymore which is true. Almost no non-inverted wingers nowadays. One thing that's still not talked about enough is how many top 7 league managers Pep has helped to produce, it's amazing. You have the few casuals, Madridstas and Mourinho stans who like to just cast him off as an above average chequebook manager, but the fact that he's helped to mentor and inspire so many coaches is not the feat of a just above average manager. Pep to me is still the 2nd greatest manager (since 2000s) after SAF.

Id argue crossing is easier than shooting. So left footers on the right can get a good quality shot off and an okay cross off their weak foot. Whereas it’s a bit one dimensional to be left footed on the left, using their good foot to cross & their bad one to shoot
It limits their options, so it makes it easier for defenders.
It also inverts the defending full back onto their weaker side or foot

Would argue Doku wasn't that great, he got the pre-assist but most of the time he didn't really do anything with the ball. Passes and crosses into the final third were poor, he didn't really try to run behind when he could have gone (a few times when City were surrounding the box he did drive to the line to try cut back but again passes were poor) but mostly was just doing well defensively with his offence 90% of the time leading to nothing (considering how many times we saw him on the ball). Agree with Gary about how he was bested and looked awkward playing on the right.
I think were going to see Savinho shine alot this season if he doesn't pick up any injuries, he was very positive in his play and linked up well compared.

Utd at least have more direction than Chelsea. Keeping ETH is key to allowing the manager time to build his squad. This is where Chelsea went wrong with sacking Poch. I believe Poch was actually starting to deliver some good results with Chelsea in the backend of last season. He simply needed more trust and faith from the Boehly regime. Now with a new manager and an even more bloated squad, they've just taken another step back while teams like Utd, Newcastle, Villa, Spurs continue to make the right moves in fighting for top 4.
