I found out how to get around Yunli’s auto play issues, but I decided to keep it within my circle of trust. In order for her to ult consistently and not waste it you have to negative edge until your able to kara cancel. It’s okay guys this is hard for HSR players to understand..
I ran Clara and Yunlin together in MOC and they melt enemies HP bar LOL. This only works if you got Huohuo and Tingyun so you can keep ulting Yunlin. Reason why this team works is if the enemy hits AOE attacks so both Yunlin and Clara get hit for the counters.
I’ve been running Yunli with Jingliu, Sparkle and Huohuo and really digging the team so far! No direct synergy, but because Yunli and Jingliu both give themselves a ton of crit I can swap who Sparkle gives the direct buff too and I have her E1S1 (gonna grab E2 on her rerun) she gives a good amount of crit and attack passively to the whole team. 3 cycled MOC 12 and I haven’t really had the time to really get sweaty on piloting the team.
I would love to have an entire video talking about why you think the way you think about jade ngl. I can feel your disappointment talking about that character. Cause when I saw her kit, I was like man, iyo's gonna have fun with this one.

I really wish Clara's ult counters counted as ult damage. It'd be huge for her in Simulated Universe, and would let her use the new set. Also be cool for Topaz too. But I'm also very excited for Yunli, love to see another Iyo vid
Shouldn't hold Tingus ult so much, she'll still increase dmg% and keep working towards her next ult, plus it lets you have enough energy for Yunli double ult if you're already almost topped off when enemy turn comes up.
Not revolutionary, but still more player input than 90% of the other characters. Besides, some enemies don't attack during certain turns, so there's a small amount of player knowledge that's rewarded here. Nothing crazy, but again, the bar was low to begin with.
She requires more skill than about every other character in the game. Firefly just uses her skill, Acheron just uses her ult, Yunli requires you to think a bit and time your parry correctly. The damage you get from the timed parry is pretty huge. Im consistently hitting in the hundreds of thousands with every correctly timed parry. She also deals twice as much damage if you play her and not just put her on auto play, since her auto play doesn't time her parry correctly. This is a good thing because it forces you to play the game and not just put the game on autoplay and watch the game play itself. My E0S1 Yunli is doing more damage than my E0S1 Acheron when playing with good parry timing.

Thanks for the video. She is more reactive argenti and a JL level unit. With no future upside. Very low value unit. Solid but not worth even a single pull if you have 2 DPS.
She is the most fun character for me, imo she is the character with the most skill expression in the game Idk what prydwen was cooking putiing yunli in the same tier as jingliu cuz i have both with very similar investment and while my jingliu does around 400k-500k dmg per cycle my yunli does 800k-1M dmg per cycle so i would never put them on the same tier

Theres 5 reason why she is not a great unit overall. 1. She is not an auto battle unit. In this kind of game. Thats bad. Almost every players want auto play the game because its a grindy game. 2. I was severely mistaken. Yunli is wild. She just back to back to back pops off. I use Topaz over miss foxy though for Duran. Not sure how much of a difference that makes without Ting, but eh. Topaz has cake, and I'm hungry. Plus as much as Yunli pops off, Numby goes hard af.

Such a shame this whole patch of characters are mid compared to 2.5, if I wanted to play a counter character I can just slap Clara on my team. Overall good vid tho.
Yunli is an Absolute Blast to play, Definitely a much funner Counter Character then Clara with her Parry mechanic (Despite all the people comparing her to Clara DPS wise). She peforms in between IPC FUA/Boothill & my E2S1 Acheron team (With my cracked decently vertically invested supports with all of them) Also got very lucky with her getting her at 13 pity and getting her LC at LC soft pity (I had 49 pity from Hunting MOTP copies for my HMC)
Bruh what is that daily max refresh 100 crate build while still having more cdmg than mine. Spent my entire stamina on the set for 4 weeks (i.e. the entire patch, minus 2 weeks for traces), not a single run of anything else. I.e. about 6700 stamina. I'm at 75 / 114 without her LC, so 75 / 150 if I had the LC. I'm done with traces so probably farming the set more for this entire patch, but I don't see myself getting anywhere near that. Though I'm still a bit shocked you hit 300k on that first wave, is her LC that insane? After testing, also with that same team with same Eidolons, but Blue Sky LC, I hit 130k - 150k on that first wave. My biggest on second wave Argenti was 280k. Tbh at least without her LC she does a bit worse than I expected, though she does every mode well enough as I thought. MoC 3 cycle, PF 37k, AS on pace 3300 points. Though follow up buffs are quite impactful currently. Though usually there's at least some workaround buff to make most teams work. I also find her the most fun character so far though. After testting I found - Huohuo Topaz Robin to be the best team in current content, likely due to followup buffs plus fire weakness. - Huohuo Tingyun Robin was almost as good, but infinitely harder to use, so it might win out in the future. - Huohuo Sparkle Robin was significantly worse, didn't expect her buff to drop off that much due to Yunli's passive. - Also tried Lynx Tingyun Robin due to not having her LC ... it was usable, but significantly worse. In practice you can't keep the attack chance buff up consistently and still keep the team alive, and it also barely matters. The Topaz version I also tried with Herta shop LC and almost got a 2 cycle. I think a better run could get me there. Just mostly tested Blue Sky LC since crate is her best stat and I might need Aoen on Jingliu or something.

Yunli is a better Jade, as in, Jade is only good for pure fiction, Yunli is great at pure firction but can also do good in Moc. However we as HSR players only look at Moc to judge meta so Yunli won't ever truly be widely viewed as meta by the community.

Downvoted for speaking the truth. These feelscrafting kids will feel very silly when Yunli creeps up to T0.5 in MoC and AS (she already moved up to 0.5 in PF this morning). Been playing this game since 1.0 and she's one of the most broken DPS they've made.
I dont see it to be honest. I'm not saying she is bad, but why would I need a character that I have to babysit to trigger the ultimate at correct time when I can use Firefly or Acheron on auto and do more damage?
Just preference. I think she's also my favorite character now. Firefly seems super boring (skipped her). Acheron is a bit better since stack management can be interesting. After trying Yunli a whole bunch you're right in that she's probably the hardest to use character - there's a lot of pitfalls and mistakes you can make. But imo that makes her fun. Though I have to say so far she's slightly worse than I expected (without her LC). Still can clear every current mode well, but those 300ks are not happening without the LC or team Eidolons.
Prydwen is sniffing glue with its tier list. This girl counters so hard it's not even funny. Just do NOT use Sparkle or Bronya. They ruin her playstyle. I do autobattle and enemies melt with Ruan Mei, HH and Tingyun (so happy to use her again). Only destruction I am missing now is Quantum (sort of, Acheron is Lightning Nihility but feel like she is more Destruction than Nihility in my eyes).
For me, yunli is clara's powercreep. 💯 yunli even crept clara's bare grippers... yunli utilizes salsotto better than Clara, has a taunt built into her enhanced counter instead of just increased aggro, is physical destruction just like clara.. I'll take the lightcone but Yunli is a pass for me. I already have a yunli at home. 😅😂

She is on par with boothill but more versatile so she is not goodish but really good not op like ff or Acheron but ez any content and 0 cycle MoC. Only characters who did something new for the game are Kafka and Ruan Mei/HMC so I doubt we getting someone like them any time soon

Would consider her LC in that case. I mostly tried with Robin, but felt a signifcant drop without her. Maybe with Topaz Tingyun if the MoC buffs / weaknesses allow like currently (I did the best with Topaz Robin). Sparkle was also worse than I thought (instead of Tingyun), Yunli's cdmg passive brings her buffs down more than I expected.

You need better mixs up with Yunli to be better hypercarry. Use Tingyun EGWF x4 then to daigo parry to kara cancel her ult!

I'm at 75 / 114 without her LC, so 75 / 150 if I had the LC.
I'm done with traces so probably farming the set more for this entire patch, but I don't see myself getting anywhere near that.
Though I'm still a bit shocked you hit 300k on that first wave, is her LC that insane?
After testing, also with that same team with same Eidolons, but Blue Sky LC, I hit 130k - 150k on that first wave. My biggest on second wave Argenti was 280k.
Tbh at least without her LC she does a bit worse than I expected, though she does every mode well enough as I thought. MoC 3 cycle, PF 37k, AS on pace 3300 points.
Though follow up buffs are quite impactful currently. Though usually there's at least some workaround buff to make most teams work.
I also find her the most fun character so far though.
After testting I found
- Huohuo Topaz Robin to be the best team in current content, likely due to followup buffs plus fire weakness.
- Huohuo Tingyun Robin was almost as good, but infinitely harder to use, so it might win out in the future.
- Huohuo Sparkle Robin was significantly worse, didn't expect her buff to drop off that much due to Yunli's passive.
- Also tried Lynx Tingyun Robin due to not having her LC ... it was usable, but significantly worse. In practice you can't keep the attack chance buff up consistently and still keep the team alive, and it also barely matters.
The Topaz version I also tried with Herta shop LC and almost got a 2 cycle. I think a better run could get me there.
Just mostly tested Blue Sky LC since crate is her best stat and I might need Aoen on Jingliu or something.

Yunli is a better Jade, as in, Jade is only good for pure fiction, Yunli is great at pure firction but can also do good in Moc. However we as HSR players only look at Moc to judge meta so Yunli won't ever truly be widely viewed as meta by the community.

Downvoted for speaking the truth. These feelscrafting kids will feel very silly when Yunli creeps up to T0.5 in MoC and AS (she already moved up to 0.5 in PF this morning).

I dont see it to be honest. I'm not saying she is bad, but why would I need a character that I have to babysit to trigger the ultimate at correct time when I can use Firefly or Acheron on auto and do more damage?

I think she's also my favorite character now. Firefly seems super boring (skipped her). Acheron is a bit better since stack management can be interesting.
After trying Yunli a whole bunch you're right in that she's probably the hardest to use character - there's a lot of pitfalls and mistakes you can make.
But imo that makes her fun.
Though I have to say so far she's slightly worse than I expected (without her LC). Still can clear every current mode well, but those 300ks are not happening without the LC or team Eidolons.

Prydwen is sniffing glue with its tier list. This girl counters so hard it's not even funny. Just do NOT use Sparkle or Bronya. They ruin her playstyle. I do autobattle and enemies melt with Ruan Mei, HH and Tingyun (so happy to use her again). Only destruction I am missing now is Quantum (sort of, Acheron is Lightning Nihility but feel like she is more Destruction than Nihility in my eyes).
Putting the wind set on tingyun is lazy as fuck just go grind her best in slot

For me, yunli is clara's powercreep. 💯 yunli even crept clara's bare grippers... yunli utilizes salsotto better than Clara, has a taunt built into her enhanced counter instead of just increased aggro, is physical destruction just like clara.. I'll take the lightcone but Yunli is a pass for me. I already have a yunli at home. 😅😂

Yunli is good-ish, but I wouldnt go as far as saying she's the future.

She is on par with boothill but more versatile so she is not goodish but really good not op like ff or Acheron but ez any content and 0 cycle MoC. Only characters who did something new for the game are Kafka and Ruan Mei/HMC so I doubt we getting someone like them any time soon
He's not refering to her power level, but the way she works (proper ult timing vs. just ult whenever it's available).

If anything, if her playstyle was copied it woudl take away from the uniqueness of her kit. And if he just refers to the game implementing cute quirky playstyles like her. You can still use Sparkle/Tingyun/Pela/Yukong and still do very well
Would consider her LC in that case. I mostly tried with Robin, but felt a signifcant drop without her.
Maybe with Topaz Tingyun if the MoC buffs / weaknesses allow like currently (I did the best with Topaz Robin).
Sparkle was also worse than I thought (instead of Tingyun), Yunli's cdmg passive brings her buffs down more than I expected.
