One way of bringing college tuition down is capping the amount of money they can borrow. Right now colleges know they can raise loans for tuition and the Federal government and banks will increase the amount of loans given because the Federal government will guarantee them. If banks know the loans won’t be guaranteed or the amounts will be capped the colleges may have to lower tuition or loose students or just accept more foreign students and fewer American students. If this happens then Fedetal funds including Federal grants should be stopped.
