they say they "have things planned" which could be *anything*, but I'm excited for anything that is server wide... anything.

While I do love S1 more than S2, Empires as a complete series, both s1 and s2, are truly interesting due to their friendship as you said, its their close friendship that allows them to joke around more and play more freely, and it also has a nostalgia factor to it, with most of the creators from ESMP were also in older SMP such as Trollcraft, X-Life, Crazycraft, and etc. Being able to watch the sameish group you have for years is really nice and it keeps you engaging, I hope we do end up getting a S3, but if not im excited for what SMP comes next!
Oh definitely. The way the players interact with each other is really fun. Whether it’s Joel and Lizzy being a couple, or Shubble and Joey’s love triangle with Katherine (*cough* Shubble is better), it gets you. I also did watch a bunch of these CZcams from One life which already lure me into the series because Lizzy is really fun to watch
I do enjoy watching empires season 1 more to, but i feel like i got to addicted to some characters especialy lizzie the ocean queen katherine from the overgrown and scott of rivendell

@@michielfrankema8281 Me too, I was always anxious everyday waiting for an esmps1 upload, completely invested in the characters (especially scott, lizzie, and gem) and could tell the entire story of the season to anyone off of memory. esmps2 I haven’t been so big on, at the start, yes, but during the Hermitcraft collaboration I grew out of it a bit, I haven’t kept up with lore and I have gotten bored watching the videos, I never was much of intrest in Hermitcraft and didn’t wan’t to catch up in all the story. I may go back to watch the rest and see what I’m missing haha but yeah I much liked season 1 but I still think season 2 is pretty good but I realize I enjoyed season 1 most due to the huge amounts of lore and deep story, as said in the video, lizzie and scott going with REALLY deep lore. I find myself drawn to story in an smp, mainly story with magic, villains, problems and history which could never occur in real life.

@AppleEye I completely agree. & Season 1 was definitely better in my opinion. I got really attached to the lore, characters (especially Scott, Lizzie, fWhip, Gem, Katherine & Shubble) & I got REALLY attached to the Empires (mainly Rivendell, Grimalnds, Ocean Empire, Undergrove) so when season 1 ended & the empires were destroyed & such, I was crying, every time I watched the ending. Season 2 is good, yes, but I prefer season 1. & I kind of got drawn away from season 2 during the crossover.
You should do a review on this one Empires smp creators video called “What went wrong with Empires SMP season 2” Its similar to this video but looking through the opposite lenses! I think it could be really cool to see your opinions on it
People just being their silly goofy selves is a huge thing for people who want to break out of their personal shell. Empires inspires so many of us to let loose our inner voices and creativity! I’m so thankful I found this community and all the amazing people in it! Including you, my friend Prismarina! 💙
The players of empires smp are legit a sorta family it’s like so adorable and when I look at foto’s on insta they all look so gorgeous all together, I can see that they really like doing the smp all together
I like to think it’s because it’s a group of genuine people and friends just having fun storytelling
When people ask me I say my favorite show is Empires. When they ask my favourite smp I still say Empires but I see Empires as a show because of the lore and the gameplay and the bloopers. I got my best friend into it an it’s the only thing we talk about now. I make Empires Fanart (I don’t post it online) and I know every word to the musical (not just the songs) and My Empire by Grymm. Empires is my therapy
One more thing that I think makes the server special, like no other is the interactions. When there is a serverwide meeting, even if it's only lore... It just brings it togheter, at least for me.
This video is so spot on! I was an avid Hermitcraft fan who used to watch every Hermit daily when a new episode would drop. I found Empires during the crossover and I am now currently binging a giant season 1 and I’m blown away by these creators.
To me, I love builds. And the quality of builds and amount of builds these geniuses pack into every video is amazing to me. I also feel at times the Hermits go overboard on building farms and red stone machines. I think the dynamic of trading for materials and every empire producing unique items creates an interesting economy and creates so many opportunities for interaction between the emperors. Not to mention how wholesome they all individually are.
I hope that, seeing it is only season two, that We have joined at the ground level of this SMP and that it will have a decade or more worth of new seasons and amazing stories to tell. Fingers crossed!

@@gustnqn3883 I really love Lizzie! Her editing is clever and she’s definitely really funny and witty. I vibe with her personality personally, so she’s probably my fav.
I think Joel is probably the best builder! (If I had to choose) And I think Sausage and fWhip pack the most into a single episode, so I appreciate that. And Katherine seems like the most wholesome person on the planet and I love how innocent she seems. They’re all amazing in unique ways though. I have zero complaints!!
Can I also point out that the Empires SMP members are all grown ups? They are matured, not childish. That's their difference between Dream SMP, who has teenagers. For me, that's what made them different, their maturity and understanding that its all roleplay. I don't like Dream SMP when they act so childish out of nowhere.

Empires might be the new Hermitcraft SMP. Not exactly but it might just be a thing of it's own. Originally Hermitcraft started more as a server among people who knew each other. But it has grown much larger over the years since these times and it's honestly very hard to keep track of all the hermits. There are some that people keep forgetting about and some that have left or are currently very distant from the server for various reasons. But Empires fills the place of story telling and casual gameplay. I think Empires can expand but everything at it's own pace.
finally, Empires SMP getting the Attention they deserve! all the sentence in this video are FACTS, Dream SMP and many other SMP's may be great but for my perspective nothing tops Empires! the Lore, Storyline, Characters and Connections the series shows are UNCOMPARABLE! their friendship truly is powerful and I love that many more people are spreading Empires SMP more around the world, I support you Prismarina! I am a BIG BIG BIG Fan of Empires SMP ever since Episode1 and I am happy seeing people as Fans expressing their opinions in the series as-well

I have been watching them since One Life S2 and the regulars are still the same. Lizzy, Joel, Scott, Joey, Shubble, etc are all friends in real life and you can feel it when they play.

I am a huge fan and if I could be in the series there would be deep lore connected to shrub.
Empires season 1 still hits different despite the freedom of season 2 though
true word and a good perspective of things I'm not sure anyone could have said it better and I must Confess I joined the Empires crew in the beginning of it's second season and fell in love with all the different pieces of unique story telling and gameplay ( at first mainly for everyone annoying Timmy about the confirmed truth that he is a TOY lol) whether it be sausage and his deep lore and amazing buildings and attempts to cross the pg line or the Pirate Princes Witch drama or Joel and his shenanigans or Pixel rifts being creative and hilarious or Oli singing his way to fame and fortune and freedom of debt or Lizzie and her critter city or Woody finally having a life after Toy Story 4 all and all I'm happy I came apart of this madness and I hope to stay for many seasons to come Thank you Empires for being there 😊

Empires Season 1 was amazing. Great cast of people to play together, and an amazing story to go alongside it. But when season 2 came around after "After Life" ended, I didn't really like it. From what I've seen of Lizzie's ES2 series, most of her interactions are with Joel. That's sweet cause it's with her husband, but at the same time, it's just the same two people on the screen with barely any development every single time and it gets bland. It feels like, to me, Lizzie is unable to interact with other cast members. I have seen her interact with others, but Joel appears the most, and it sucks cause Lizzie could easily interact with other people if it wasn't for the case of "We do this, you get that, I get that. Deal."
Then there was an Oli arc, which just felt very left-field and out of place to me. The build-up from the End already being beat was great, but the person doing it with Oli just didn't sit right with me. Idk if it's cause I've never been a fan of Oli, or something else, but that just felt weird to me.
And then there's the hermitcraft crossover... I really didn't like that part. I understand that it was for a charity event, and the reasoning behind it was great. But they dragged it out for far too long imo. If it was like a combined 2 or 3 episode crossover, it would be fine. But it went on for far too long.
Those are just my issues with it, I'm sure the overarching story is much better. Shubble's POV has personally been my favourite, but idk. This season just doesn't do it for me
Not to forget this group has been growing way before kingdom craft but it definitely started in X-life. X-Life definitely kicked things up with the certain group and there is a sprinkle of lore. I got into watching Minecraft players because of Katherine and seeing her in her first SMP in source block and I’m so glad she is apart of something bigger.
I actually wouldn't be surprised if you were to join Empires smp season 3

I think now after watching Imp and Skizz Podcast of them talking to Scott (part 2) which released like yesterday I think, Season 1 was definitely better than season 2 because Scott made me realize how little the other empires interacted in Season 2. Season 1 had so many empires interact because of the Xornoth storyline and the alliances that where made (which super upset that there was like no alliances in Season 2) and close relationships (Seablings and Roseblings my beloved). The closest you could get was the Hermes situation but all the emperors mostly did random visits for trade and not really fun or dumb stuff (Pix vs Fwhip trap battle was so funny and chaotic during Season 1). And with the whole Hermit X Empires rift thing, Season 2 was meh.

It makes me angry that xornoth isnt returning. I was waiting for xornoth, we were left on such a cliffhanger with xornoth and some of the charicters, and there not ever coming back. I think they could just try a little more to include everybody in the lore the full story lore, or make it so thoose who dont want to,dont have the cover there kingdom in red tenticles, they could add to the lore, so make lizzies ocean empire is totaly safe bc of water, etc
Plus, some charicters have said stuff about xornoth, (Like lizzie was going to shelbys blaze farm and said- "Is Shelby tryna summon you know who down here?", wich is obvi reffering to xornoth.
I don’t mind him not returning tbh, I did enjoy him and scott’s lore but it was the main antagonist in season one so yknow

in my opinion i used to like s1 since its lore is more explained and revealed, but s2 is rlly giving me the "i want to know more" vibes, that makes you tingle when they reveal their own unique lores, and origins.i have to say that s2 might not be good as s1 but s2 is rlly unique and beautiful that the way it stands out and shines the potential it gives and its designs and themes is rlly endless.

I think season 1 was much better 😭more role play was good season 2 became nah and normal smp and it doesn’t have the spice it had 🙁
Season 2 just has more build up and better pacing I feel, it's much more thought out and such from what I can tell. S1 had a ton of improv and sudden developments while S2 is playing the long game with a planned out story (S1 was never planned to have much of a story, just interactions between empires and wars and such which would be where roleplay came from)
If you want some lore heavy PoVs, I'd recommend Sausage and False. They're pretty deep into their lore atm. Shelby is also a really good one.

You would feel Season 1 had more roleplay than Season 2 because there is still lots of lore to be revealed about all the characters for season 2. And Season 1 had a fixed end date for its finale, while season 2 doesn't. For all we know, they might even continue season 2 in 1.20 update. Pix had mentioned this multiple times that until and unless Minecraft has an update that makes everyone feel that we should part ways for other series and end Empires, season 2 will keep on going.

Im sorry to diagree with you but personally I think s1 is better then s2. Because s1 has so much lore but not too much to the full extent that our brains overload, as for s2 it barely has some lore like I know the warden stuff but there was never main antagonist as in s1 xornoth is trying to take over the story. In s2 it kind of ends on a cliffhanger nothing bad really happens just sprinkles of it, the sprinkles of it aare just not enough for me I want big things to happen and thre is a 60% chance there is not gonna be a s3 but who knows they are doing new life wich might have ended idk and between main series that they do like xlife they do smaller series like last life, 3rd life, second life and afterlife so we shall find out.

Personally I hate empires to me I think everything is a little forced sure everyone’s a good builder but it just seems overrated in my opinion but I do believe Timmy is a toy
