I had tears in those scenes as well, plus when Kayce rescued Tate. I love how this show can put the viewer through all the emotions right along with the characters!

This is one of the best shows I have seen in years on TV and it just keeps getting better and better. And the music and the scenery is incredible. RIP is the timeless, inconic cowboy of the American west....and his strength of character, consistency, loyalty and humility breaks my heart, because I know that there are so few people like him anymore, who value family, loyalty and selflessness over self interest and ego. Its equally fascinating to get to know John Dutton, who has the toughness of generations of the Dutton family running thru his veins....its always about the land, but its so much more than land....its a piece of personal history, its your family, its your soul.... you have to hang onto it, its ride or die. What a story.

Hate to break it to you, but the main writer worked on Sons of Anarchy, and the characters and set up is just a rehash of Sons of Anarchy. Not saying the show is bad, it's very entertaining, but sadly, it's all ripped off from another show.
@@spirittammyk the only writer and creator of this show worked as an actor in Sons, less than two seasons.
He even started writing based on the idea of not doing the things he acted. Yellowstone and Sons are nothing alike.

It seems that you've created an amazing and award winning show when the viewers can't imagine anyone else playing the different characters. Thats what this show has! Love all the characters, good and bad. excellent writing, directing and acting. I can't wait for season 3.
The actor who plays the younger John does a great job. Sometimes I get lost when movies do flashbacks, I think it was done so good that you accept it. Same goes for the younger Beth & Rip.
Josh Lucas. Good actor. Usually plays a bad guy, but once in a while, he plays a good guy. Check him out in the movie "Secondhand Lions". It's a cute movie that the whole family can enjoy.
The best show I have seen in a awhile on TV. The acting and the scenery are just over and above the norm, and love the story line.

Apart from little house on the prairie I've never been so happy and excited and obsessed with any western drama in all my years. Thanks to this beautiful cast it feels real the language and even the silence in scenes is deliciously lived in. They must get goose bumps when they see the final cut. I do!
mr Costner your doin a great job with Yellowstone.. reminds me of bonanza and the big valley combined…. you've brought a modern day twist to old time westerns....only thing you need to rember is the old time guys always came out on top which means yall need to always come out on top at the end of each season.....thanks for a great show...

Rip is my favorite character.
1st came Game of thrones, then along came the Blacklist and Now Yellowstone - simply fantastic the writing, the acting, the location the music. I just love this show and I for one would wear the brand in a heartbeat. Would be great to see a flashback of younger Lloyd taking Rip under his wing on the ranch like Rip has with Jimmy? Really looking forward to Seasons 3,4,5,6 and on and on. Well done everyone at Paramount, the actors and all the crew.

Why does John say this will be the end of us? Does he mean because they planned to kill the Beck brothers? Or did he think not everyone on his side will make it?
When John wrote about Rip being his son, wow that scene got me. It was a great scene. Rip wants nothing more than for John to love him as a son and for John to be his father. I’d love to see Rip & Beth end up with the ranch and have a bunch of little ones running around.

I hope this makes Monica appreciate the family. Yes Tate wouldn’t have been taken by the Becks if it wasn’t for being part of Johns family. But she’s lucky enough to be in a family that is so bad ass and are the only ones able to get her son back. I’ve wanted so badly to like monica but I truly struggle to. She’s never happy and it seems like nothings good enough, complain about everything and show no one compassion of any kind. Maybe this will make her loyal and accepting of the family.
That would be good. But thenTate wouldn't have been kidnapped if he hadn't been at the ranch & as a message to John. She had just asked Kayce to get s different ranch. But ya, she really joined the family business by telling Kayce to kill the kidnappers so she really should go all in. Ha
That's like saying it's OK to have a girlfriend that keeps destroying your car but it's fine because her family owns an auto mechanic shop.
@@johnthomann4418 not exactly. Monica knew what she was getting marrying Kayce. You get the whole family & all the baggage. Its John's ruthless methods & Kayce being involved she has issues with. Then she demanded Kayce kill Tates kidnappers. Exactly what he & John were already planning to do. Now its HER child, so its ok. A wife & son are not the same as a "girlfriend" & her family. This is blood!
Need to understand that Monica is torn between two loyalties --her Native heritage and her love for Kayce--the fact that a family like the Duttons' took all her ancestors land (future)& her unconditional love for her husband & son. Such a Romeo ❤Juliet situation! I love Mr Sheridan's & the writers way of handling this powerful dynamic in the family & the lovers try their very best to keep their love and their Tate safe from all obstacles that try to get in the way.

But I have never gotten tears in my eyes as this before with Yellowstone.)

Ever heard of Spike TV? Well, Paramount renamed it the Paramount Network. It's on regular cable like FX, AMC, TBS, etc, so if your cable provider has it, you can watch it. Or you can do what I did and just buy the whole season on Amazon.

John Dutton was so amazing on this episodes , it was so beautiful to see John caring out his fathers last wishes😢 I cried like a baby. & Casey was really good & so badass💪🏼 & Casey is so much like his father the 1st badass John Dutton!!!! & Cole, Rip his so much like John & was so badass riding that horse guns blazing 💪🏼 & omg😪 that part where Beth reads Rip the letter that John wrote 😢 it was beautiful & so sad Rip knows now how John feels about Him, John sees Rip as his son❤️😪 that was so awesome! I’m so in to this show!!! Probably one of the best I’ve seen in a long time. & I am in to walking dead & A big fan of game of thrones, Yellowstone tops them 💯 & I never dreamed I’d say that
My favorite show. Best in a long time. But I hate when they film scenes out of sequence and figure we won't notice. This entire 2nd season has kinda been a progression of climatic seasons as well. Last week...episode 9...the leaves are gone, the grass and fields are a dormant tan color and there's signs of snow and winter. Last night's episode...a day later in the story line...and the grass and fields are green, the leaves are green, and there no signs of winter. As good good as they've proven to be thus far with the editing, production, and cinematography...that's inexcusable. They're better than that. And what happened to the plane that they sabotaged?
Ya. The plane. John called Beck. Set a meeting with him in Helena. I was sure the Beck's were going to blow up in the plane. ThenTate gets kidnapped. I figured Tate was going to be on the plane. Then John finally acknowledges Rip as a son, then sends him out to draw fire for the rest of them! That ending really left questions.
I thought for sure that kid was going to end up on that plane, Which would have destroyed JC because HE sabataged the plane. Although it would have been perfect karma, I already knew I would stop watching if they killed off the boy. But you're right! WHAT happened to the plane? Anyone who gets in it will be blown up.... They probably should've tied that in to the ending.
