Also, I have to express one thing that keeps popping into my mind: PLEASE use the non-sharp half of the knive to push whatever you have cut from the cutting board into the pan. If you use the sharp side your knive will rapidly become blunt.

I really love to see how slow and intentional you are being with finishing rooms and decor and all of that. It’s so nice to see things come together at a more realistic pace with no pressure to look immediately perfect. I’m moving soon and this is a great reminder to focus on the feel of my space and how I want it to feel before rushing into trying to cultivate something I’m unsure about

So cozy and relaxing! You mentioned your house is chilly. I have a electric fireplace in my home to help take the chill off the air, and provide some ambience. You guys might think about purchasing a few to place throughout the house. It of course does not replace a real wood fireplace, like you have in your living room. But if you were to get one with a remote control, or a timer, you could set it so it would go off at a certain time before you get up to warm up the space a bit, and also add some coziness. It also makes it very pretty at night to have, and looks good. People think my fireplace is real all the time.

I used to live with my grandparents a lot when I was a kid. Unlike me and my family who lived in a city, they lived in a very small village outside the city somewhere in Romania. The feeling of being there is exactly the one this video portrays and it kinda brought me some tears. I now live far away from Romania and things have changed with the death of my grandpa, we don’t go there as often and there are little animals to take care of compared to what it’s been before. But I miss these mornings. No plan, just helping with tasks around the house, eating simple food and being so excited to have to go to the city for things.

    Hi Carrie!!from California Vid
Ta Maria & Chuck saying greetings from your home state!Really enjoy the beauty of where you live and seeing how happy you and Alex are. You are both strong and you’re having no problems with these major changes. The peacefulness is very alluring. I too am a new mama to a kitten that we rescued stuck between two wooden fences. We named her Butterfinger and I love her to pieces. I think it’s the same love that you have for Lanka and Woolson! I was shocked to see that the twin passed away so suddenly. He is getting so big and you are such a good mama. Thanks for sharing your gentle morning routine! Ciao for now, Baci Baci!🇮🇹🇺🇸

I can never imagine living where you are. I will love it maybe for a month and then my mind will go crazy. Maybe it's just the age plus I have been surrounded with greenery my whole life till now but just a 10 min drive and the city comes and I love the city life. My home is the best of both worlds but I lived in a commune in France once for two months and I lost it. It was exactly like your place and after a month I'm like what do I do 😂
But thats me. And this is you. And I do understand you moving to NZ. It's my parents dream. You are living their dream. And I just want to say, I'm so happy for you. Seeing you happy and glowing ever since you moved here gives me immense joy ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I don't understand it, but I do admire it. ❤️❤️❤️
And who knows maybe after 30 40 this is what makes me shift to NZ ahahhha ❤️
Sending you love and light 💞

Interesting fact about dogs: they're rather unique among animals in that they innately understand how what a human looks at is the focus of their attention and communication. When a human looks at them, they know that it's trying to communicate or interact with them, and will otherwise follow a human's gazeline in order to discern what the human is focused on and what they should thus focus on also. However, they don't understand human pointing (and are usually too busy staring at the face to notice it anyway), which is why dogs get confused when the human is looking at them expectantly while pointing at the stick that the dog has failed to notice (hint: try looking at the stick instead).
Anyways, the reason I bring it up is because Lanka was looking into the camera quite sustainedly at the beginning of the video, and I've noticed it before in other videos too, which is somewhat remarkable because there's no reason he should be particularly interested in it. So Lanka has clearly seen his owners staring into and talking at the camera often enough that he appreciates how it's regularly the focus of their attention, and has become accustomed to mimicing their gaze because it's presumably important to them for some reason. It made me think about how confused Lanka must be over why the humans stare at the "useless object" so often, and how much he must love and trust them because he stares at it alongside them without any idea of what it is or why it's so important to them. 💕💕💕

I was hiking in Westchester County New York today and spotted a dog that looked just like Lanka. I wanted to ask the dog’s human where he got the dog but he didn’t seem all that approachable. I should’ve just asked the dog where he came from.🤓
