Really found the origin story behind the dance choreography so cute
The studio pretty stressed and mulled over trying to find the right footage to pull inspiration from because most of the footage was from professional dancers and generally looked to smooth
...that is until they found footage of some newlyweds dancing at their wedding. The couple apparently looks so awkward and uncoordinated but it creates a stronger feeling of intimacy because of it. They didn’t know what they were doing, but they continued doing it because they loved each other and were having fun and I thing sums up the opening and beastars as a whole really well
Whoever was in charge of that direction change deserves more awards

I'm not even a furry and I enjoy Beastars. It's like a darker version of Zootopia and like 10x better. It's such a unique manga/anime and I don't think you can find any concept that's similar to Beastars nowadays.
