Love the paint app. on the armour, the lava effects on the base, the light up portraits, the pose, the switch out parts….there’s nothing I don’t like on this statue, really a great acquisition! You should seriously consider getting Steppenwolf! What a killer setup my friend!
I personally think the arms behind the back look the best and most iconic. The 2nd best look is with the weapon and the other arm at his side, not the arm up. Thats just my opinion of course. Great piece though! Looks phenomenal with the lineup! Prob the best Justice League piece and 2nd best DC Statue you have next to Wonder Woman on Horse. Side note, I was able to score two grails I have wanted for awhile at very, very fair prices. Iron Studios 1/4 Bucky and Iron Studios 1/4 Falcon, both from Civil War! They arrive today and I am so excited. Recently watched you old reviews of them in anticipation and I can't wait!! I plan to pair them with the Cap I already have; Iron Studios Age of Ultron 1/4 Captain America. That will be one shelf for me, like a Team Cap shelf. Can't wait!
But he’s the right scale, 1/3. Snyder’s JL Darkseid is 8'9 inches tall. He’s actually larger and taller than the Predator Jungle Hunter from the movie.
I personally think Darkseid looks way better with his iconic hands behind his back stance far more than the weopon in hand. And for portrait definitely the one with the smoke emitting from his eyes is the best.
Take care with weapon arm when removing or handling as mine is not as tight as would be ideal and bottom section can easily drop off. When showing wife swap outs, I pulled that arm off and the bottom part dropped on her foot stabbing her! Thankfully wife foot Okay and sock foot provided soft impact for dropping weapon piece and no breaking. But take care with that. Otherwise great statue. I like displaying mine either neutral face with hands behind back or flaming eyes with weapon right and flexed left. This guy is as big as my 1/2 scale Prime1 Knightmare but they look good together with 3rd scale Sup and JL HotToys peppered about them.
nice huge statue, i think it would display perfectly in one of the corner, with his impressive weapon, but it would require to study how to display the rest of the line.
Any thoughts on jnd debacle? personally I feel they won't change until there is competition in their niche,I only own one but as a person who own multiple jnd your thoughts on it?
