Good move. Now landscape the entire place and plant ornamental trees - palms, masquerade trees, grasses etc. In a matter of 2-3 years, we will have a beautiful, leafy Aguiyi ironsi Boulevard indeed. But that journey must start right now.
I agree with you absolutely. Our people dont understand the value of greenery and landscaping. They never make provisions for those in construction, whether public or private. It's sad.
I think we should learn to approperiate complains and responsibilities to the right departments of our society , we have añ arm of societal development authority , we should be calling them up to their job ,ministery of Agriculture forestery and rural development , an urban development authority office is in existence , the individuals themselves have a stake , so lets not make it a wholistic issue otherwise such offices will be taking advantage and run into limbo
@@mishkarushnie6840 As much as I would like to agree with you, I unfortunately don't. In most developed countries, including where I live, landscaping and greenery are integral parts of road construction designs. They are essential elements of any road project. The roles of the Department of Parks and other agencies are distinct from incorporating greenery into road aesthetics.

I am proud of Governor Alex Otti..he loves his people that the reason his making Abia great again Kudus to Abians...kepukepu TV thanks you for the good job your doing...keep it up...
God bless Gov Chioma Oti. For his willingness to put a smile on the faces of Abians.. may the Lord bless, protect and shield his wife and children. Our people need to support him fully.
Please, tell Governor Otti, there's a left out shortcut Road from Owerrinta, Star Paper Mil, Umuocheal, Uratta, Ihie to Isi-Ala Ngwa Junction, this road is about 30 kilometers from Owerrinta to Isi-Ala Ngwa Junction.. The road will help people that's going to Umuahia and enegu.
Boulevard road comes with trees 🎄 🌴 planted by the road sides, hope they will plant trees on the road sides to suit the name, congratulations to Abians congratulations our governor otti
Well deserved honor to the great general from Ibeku clan and the planned airport should also be named Aguiyi Ironsi International Airport. Abia deserved to be great state for global tourism and the people's governor ,Otti can actualize this dream in our time.
Ibo street names would need to be revised at some stage in places like Aba, Enugu etc. Imagine in Enugu, we have Bisala Road but no Ojukwu Road,in Aba Kent Road, Jubilee road, but no M N Onwuma Road or Gustav Von Rosen Road or even David Mayrock Avenue. Anyway, those calling this road Aguiyi Ironsi Boulevard should remember that a boulevard must by definition be lined with trees then start now to create a real boulevard to match the name by planting trees.
Time is of essence to immortalise Late General Aguiyi Ironsi with the proposed airport in Abia state and the people's governor for now,Otti can make it happen.Okey Onwuchekwa, USA.
I wish they will build Aguiyi Ironsi International Airport. If Nigerian airport Ikeja can be renamed after Muritala Mohammed who is way junior ranking officer to Ironsi both in life and his death, It was Ironsi that brought Gowon, Muritala Mohamed, TY Danjuma, David Ejor and the rest to the limelight that they are enjoying till today. Ironsi favorably appointed Emeka Ojukwu as the then governor of Eastern region that brought Ojukwu to the limelight despite there are other higher-ranking officers ahead of Ojukwu from the eastern part of Nigeria.
I thought Gov Otti is already building a seaport? Please lets not distract him. A sea port in Abia is far more valuable than yet another airport because Abia is already surrounded by airports. A major road has just been named after Gen Ironsi in Umuahia. Also, the area called Abia tower when rebuilt can become AGUIYI IRONSI SQUARE with a cenotaph, a monument in remembrance of Ibo fallen heroes meaning that the Square will be closed annually for the ceremonies..
You mean Michel Okpara Boulevard leading to Michel Okpara Square? Good point. Maybe they thought of honouring Gen Ironsi too as Okpara already has Okpara Square Enugu, University etc. named after him. Anyway, those calling the road Boulevard should remember a boulevard must by definition be lined with trees.
You have a good point, Abia state already have Micheal Okpara University Umudike.. Honouring Aguiyi Ironsi is a wise decision, I wish Abia state will build international Stadium or Airport, even Hospital on his name.
All the past governors in Abia State should be arrested and jailed

What a jokers na, Water fountain abia state was celebrating like this..Nawa oh.eyiah is well with una oh
Yes because that was the first water fountain since abia was created.. Don't blame the people celebrating.. Blame the past governors
The Camera men are too much. Why
For me it would have made sense since the junction is with Michael Okpara... To be named after him

When the buses comes and the terminal you will see names of streets on the roads and bus stops and junctions bro its step by step
Step by step
It's a process...
Why are people in Umuahi not shouting the Praise of Alexi otti like the people who are in ABA???
More people lives in Aba compared to Umuahia
Why naming the road after ironsi.he did nothing for igbo race.
When them born you and ask yourself when he died didn't even spend good 1year and trouble started.
