    While I learned Differential Calculus in one of my university level Business Math courses, I never learned "U" substitution and Integral Calculus.

    you could just take the 4 out the integral and multiple the bottom and top by 2 and that would be just the derivative of √(x²+1) times 4

      First of the explanation is good for rote learning thus lacks the deep understanding, in the demonstration during first example he bypassed a crucial step he didn't mention When u=x^2 +1 =>The derivative is du/dx=2x then you make dx the subject.I advise you to learn what dy/dx means if you haven't already . Edit (BTW I disliked the video) .................. (>_
