Perth Housing Crisis - Hard to find rental house!

We arrived in Australia in the midst of nationwide housing crisis (well pretty much the same in New Zealand), very high demand but short of supply, hence prices are going through the roof.
After several applications and attending house inspection we eventually found one within a week but with a cach!
