I miss the days when cartoons actually had catchy themes and intros... There's nothing like the magic of sitting down to watch your favorite cartoon and singing along to the theme song.
Ryan Cunningham That's why I think the Brony thing has become so big. That show's theme song may be on the meh side, but at least it has one. And the songs in the actual episodes are actually really catchy and fun. I think a lot of Bronies latched onto it simply because of that fact. It give you some kind of nostalgia while also offering something new. As much as I love Steven Universe and Adventure Time they don't offer that. At least not on a level that the old school Disney shows did.
If you notice even movies don't have very catchy scores or themes anymore. We use to have good music from John Williams and others that gave iconic movies epic theme songs. But now the music just isn't that rememberal anymore. Or you get misplaced music like hip hop in the Great Gatsby.
Jason T Scott-West Exactly! I mean what would have happened if classics like Star Wars had been given pop songs as their themes? I doubt you'd still have kids this many generations later who could sing it that's for sure.
The best days were Saturdays. It was 2000, You know outside its Windy and rain, its dark. You just came out of the shower, your mom made Sommething to eat. I went into my bedroom, I switched on my TV. I put my blanket Over my legs and hear the rain and stuff a bit splashing on my window. And then I hit some good cartoons. When you Are a teenager, you sometime say I hate it, I wann to Grow up, sometimes you say to your Parents I cant wait to move in my own flat. But todays, there are moments when I think back to be a kid again, watch this n your safe bedroom
I used to watch this show with my niece when she was a little girl. We both loved The Disney Afternoon! Those were some good times then along with memories of our favorite shows.
when tv was worth watching then damn I got tears in my eyes from this because it was good times growing up to some good cartoon and best era ever 90 's
Christopher Johnson I strongly disagree with that, mainly because the internet has gotten to the point where if I should want to watch any of these cartoons, I can do that.
I love being that one kid born in the 2000s that grew up on this show, it had a special place in my heart, and its probably part of the reason i wanna be a animator when i grow up ☺
I was born 1986. So I actually grew up on this show and a few others created by the Disney Company. I was a kid back then and to have witnessed 1 of several epic creations was an amazing time I won’t ever forget. 1990 when it first came out. I was then 4. I had the bomberjacket. Back then it was cool to have an imagination.

Yes, it indeed was one of the best things to look forward to at the end of a hard school day where nothing went right; the song did describe the awesome childhood life I had though

I remember watching this show every day after school when I was a kid, right before DuckTales. DuckTales had the better theme song, but this was by far the better show. And that plane was awesome!!!
This show was amazing! I do have to to admit that I do find cartoons from this era a lot more entertaining than the cartoons of today. I have to ask myself though... do I find cartoons like talespin more entertaining because the writers of this time were better at there jobs, or does my emotional connection to my childhood leave me wearing rose-colored glasses?.... hmm...
Never understand why they created these extended themes when the intros never lasted more than a minute. If not for the internet, most of us would never have even heard the extended versions.

I don't know. I am 35 by the way. It could be the fact that I grew up on Tail Spin, Dark Wing Duck, Duck Tales, Chip N Dale's Rescue rangers and Goof Troop. There was a lot of comedy, drama and adventure in these. I have 3 kids who watched Gravity Falls. I watched along with them only for a few episodes here and there. It didn't do it for me. I don't think its the fact that I grew out of cartoons. I think its the characters and the plots. I can admit, I enjoyed Phineas and Ferb. For some reason. All in all, I can say Disney is in better shape than Cartoon Network today. After Dexter's Lab, the first Power Puff Girls, Johnny Bravo and the other original Cartoon Cartoon line up got thrown back, they have been struggling for the past 10 years.
IllumiNOTi The_Oblivion_Light Cartoonnetwork is no longer in theur dark ages, and they have been getting better actually, with shows such as Steven Universe, Regular Show, and We Bare Bears. The dark age was during their "CN Real" era which started in 2007 and ended around 2010.

All it needs is some naughty words. We Bare Bears. Its put together decently. Steven Universe? I give it 3 out of 5 Stars. Its comedy and in my opinion, Raven is making the show. She dose some things that you'll never see her do in the original... Tap dancing in the bathroom? Classic!
Baloo & Louie were in Disney's The Jungle Book! They're also best pals on Disney's Talespin! This brings back some awesome memories, I tell ya!! 😅😅😅😅😅😅😂😂😂😂😂😂😹😹😹😹😹
Well, this IS the same television arm behind such bizarre concepts as "Hercules in a high school sitcom format" and "Characters from 'The Lion King' taking part in plots that would seem too strange for 1930's Warner Bros cartoons". And those were some of the GREEN-LIT ideas! I mean, come on! Having Horace Horsecollar, of all characters, being mistaken for Luke Skywalker for 50 years and a prototype of "House of Mouse" that would be set in a Disney fan's version of heaven itself, while being worth at least two or three seasons apiece today, would never fly in the 90's!
This was on vhs before my grandfather died he had it we'd watch it sadly it got possibly stolen or destroyed when the house was recently broken into not sure which but this is memory lane for me

Yess I agree!
Indeed 😊👍
Being a kid in the 90s cartoons like this made life worth while.
I miss the days when cartoons actually had catchy themes and intros... There's nothing like the magic of sitting down to watch your favorite cartoon and singing along to the theme song.
I completely agree
Those were the fun days, now look at cartoons now, they hardly have any lyrics in them, and they're not catchy.
Ryan Cunningham

All these theme songs really got you charged up to watch the entire show. I loved it. Even the ending credits were worth sitting through.
Do you remember that to be continued bermuda triangle 2 part episode? That was a huge deal for us kids at the time, the anticipation.
The greatest Calypso song of all time...
