I have a confession, a hard one. One day, I came across two Level 5 Blacktail Bucks. These were diamond-potential. I had full consec. I was using polymer-tipped .243 bullets, I could have had these in the bag. but I shot poorly. I shot the first one twice, first missing the heart. I only got silver on both of them.

I was doing a Parque Fernando mission about shooting down something from a tree, and an albino water buffalo came out of nowhere and tried to kill me. I shot it and and was only like 500 score but still.
Thanks for the bow hunting, I was searching for some good examples how to hunt with, I'm glad to know I'm doing a good job, just more practice.

Congrats on that albino and congrats on that 48 buck ;) also you could do a video where you hunt only with that "prone bow" tactic

Had albino cow moose not leave any disturbed vegetation either. Took 50 minutes to find her. Congrats.

a male elk is a bull and if its just growing its antlers its called a spike

Hey flint how much time do you usually spend hunting for a video ? Cause I always spend like an hour and a half or 2 and only get like 4 deer lol and I haven’t shot or seen any moose or bear yet and I’m in hirshfelden or however you spell it, I’m kind of a beginner but I really like the game especially the bow hunting aspect of it, any tips ? Also I love your videos keep up the good work =)
+brayden jaime most videos take 1-2 hours to record, depending on the style of video and how much time I have, but it takes time to learn how to find animals consistently. Keep at it :)

I have one question. My game is installing and I was wondering. Can I unlock guns or do I have to buy them?
And with the starter gun, what do you recommend trying to kill?

Unlined Coast598 the starter gun is good for roe deer fallow deer you can also try moose and Roosevelt elk as well but they will be much harder I also recommend hogs they are very easy to kill

Ty Wolff yeah but don’t forget as a starter with most likely no calls it’ll be sort of hard to find fallow deer they have very very good eyesight and senses, or other I just really suck lmao. I reckon that it would be way easier if I had the antler rattle.

How come the animals get not spooked by you getting so near to them? Is it sthg about camouflage? I thought the camouflage you can by does not prevent you from being spotted.
+onlythistube the females and small males will get pretty close if the wind is in your favor and you don't move, the larger ones are a bit tougher

Haha, thanks! Flinter got a musk deer the day before I got a diamond red deer, I was happy to wait a day to actually get a decent animal as a diamond and not just a big fang roe deer! ;)
Disturbed Vegetation does show fur color, I tracked an albino down that way.

2. One of them Scrubje told me to change to that perk to track it down, as I did it on a livestream on twitch, and it just came flying by, i hit it poorly with a shotgun slug, ended up tracking it for 30 minutes without finding anything, then He told me to change the perks to that one, and took 3 minutes to find the right track and track it down :P

After upgrades are the bows good in this game? From what I’ve played they feel horrible compared to the hunter classic
+Sir Gillium I think they're better than they used to be. Still not as overpowered as in classic
Flinter The Hunter yea I’ve been using them tonight, there for sure but the shooting and aiming isn’t as smooth as THC. You find them to be overpowered in THC?
+Sir Gillium well... you can drop an elk, or a brown bear with a double lung shot xD
Flinter The Hunter yea I agree with you there, doesn’t feel realistic at all when you can drop those big game animals with double lung shots. Honesty if there going for realism a heart shot shouldn’t be dropping them either. I just think that aiming and look and feel is much nicer on THC but they’ve been working on that for 8 years so I can’t really compare the two😆

The only albino I have ever found and harvested was a female coyote. Unfortunately the achievement on Xbox requires a abino deer and I have yet to find one. I have harvested two piebalds though.
+Nuke2099 I've had 4 Rares on Layton Lake and they've all been elk lol, I think a rare coyote would be really cool :D

I have an update. Couple days ago I downed a piebald Red deer stag and the following day I came across a herd of 30 Red deer in the mountains and one of them was a albino doe so I got that rare achievement now. :)
do I have to have a large backpack in order to carry/equip a bow?

the disturbed tracks do give out the right fur type even for albinos and stuff.. there were just too many tracks around with that herd.
