I am intriqued by the size. I have never owned an RC boat and it would be fun to start in a small waterway like a creek, where retrieval would be easy. 🌻
+1 for the sonic wake v2...i have 2 of em...and thr horizon harbor tug, a stealthwake 23 and blackjack 24..all fun in their own rights!! The sonic wake v2 will scratch the speed itch out of the box and it self rights!
I have done the same with a hobby king 30a brushless boat esc water cooled and a 390 sized 4 pole 4800kv Ed at special motor I’m currently running on some zip power lipos 3s 450mah 70c and a cheap dumbo rc and a emax metal geared servi also recommend the upgraded nozzle stator and ride plate from sundogz
Thank you! These are a blast. When you get a chance, the prop usually has a bit of flashing that can be trimmed away for a bit more speed/efficiency. We converted a few to ebay brushless 390.....but honestly, they are better just the way they are😎
@@Drive_OnOh just trust me on this one I upgraded mine to run on 3s with a pin eBay 4800kv motor and a hobbyking esc and it is soooo sick especially with the upgraded nozzle and ride plate from sundogz
@@Drive_On There was, but there were numerous issues with them and the hulls were too thin and prone to pinhole leaks. If you want a bigger jet boat I’d recommend the thrasher from streamline rc. I have one and couldn’t be happier with it.

I have just been exposed to the RC Boat world and it is so fun. I have been building my own brushless powered RC boat from scratch out of waterproofed foam. I have tested it a few times and made many adjustments to make it go faster. Rc sailboats also seem fun and I am hoping to get one soon.
Having real issues watching this, it constantly pauses and shows the spinning wheel. Not having issues watching any other channels, is CZcams throttling you?
This boat can handle some river bashing! I enjoy this boat a lot.

I used to enjoy sailing an RC sailboat. A real lazy day thing to do. Batteries will last all day, just need the wind!

Very fun little boat, especially with 4800kv brushless motor and ESC.
Brushless and a longer rear jetskid is the next "must have".

I’ve modified mine with a hobbywing brushless system and custom water cooling. It’s a significant upgrade from stock.

good to know - I've had the thought of modifying but can kind of tell that this hull design wouldn't be much fun at any higher speeds..
