    Thanks Dr. R - You and Attia are a godsend for providing honest researched info when no one can find it because a lot is being suppressed by companies and a lot of us viewer do not have a G/P (fam doc). So thanks. My question is how to take a probiotic? With a meal? on an empty stomach and what should be included in the probiotic? Should the probiotic be enteric coated or time released?

    I'm struggling to understand why either one of them would need to supplement micronutrients when they're eating a balanced healthy diet? I get the other stuff like Ashwagandha and so on but why take iron, calcium, magnesium etc when you should be getting all of that from food.
    Also would be curious to know how much Rhonda spends each month on groceries and supplements. Its obviously A LOT (especially since she shops organic) and I would imagine WAY more than the avg person could ever afford.

      I make 60k and can manage all organic and supps. Plus spend all my life training and rock climbing. It's not impossible I just live a really modest life so I can balance everything.

      @@gbuddah yeah I work at a fire department in Florida. So the money works for me. It won't work for a lot of people but I've also elected this life style. It's not by random circumstances entirely. I chose to drive an old truck and not have car payments. I don't go out at restaurants or party. All my clothes are modest. It's not impossible but it's definitely getting harder nowadays.

    Source Naturals, Jarrow, Solgar, Natures Plus, Natures Way, Solaray, Kal, Blue Bonnet are excellent brands as well. My family was in the health food industry for 50+ years. We would access COAs on products. I hope this helps broaden your choices.

    I am the biggest fan of moringa that anyone I swear. I got hurt pretty bad falling from a run in Aruba. Everyone was gathering real moringa from the actual trees for me. I didn't want to take medicine that I didn't know so I went for the moringa. The next day I totally forgot I got hurt. I slept like a baby and zero pain! The real "fresh " stuff is beyond amazing. They even sell the fresh leaves in the supermarket! I sure wish it grew here... Quite a back story for the planet being sent to malnourished nations where nothing grows. Life changing for so many. It's so good for you!

      About a year ago I ordered some after hearing Rhonda discuss it. Just could not get it down so had to give it away. Sometimes I can handle the tea with mint.

      Yes I’ve been into moringa a while too, as with her it’s a backup to my broc sprouting to keep the waves of nrf2 goin, at first supplementally & made me feel so good I now have a tree, I’m in texas lol I have to cover it in winter, it really grows like a weed! Its great in some dishes too, Filipino food in particular

    Great video.
    Surprised at some additions for the smoothie that are not included that would really boost the micronutrients.
    No chia seeds? Also nuts? I take LSAP (Linseed, sunflower, almond & pumpkin seeds ground).
    Also no yogurt? I find this a great way to add a really useful amount of protein to my diet. Couple of days a week I'll swap this out for a probiotic low sugar coconut yoghurt.
    I also like a tbsp of ACV, along with half a lemon crushed.

      yeah I mix freshly milled flax, chia, pumpkin, sunflower, hemp, and sesame + kale powder, beeroot juice, protein powder, bluberries, raspberry, creatine.

    I have found extremely helpful Mitochondrial Energy Optimizer with PQQ extremely helpful(giving pqq, taurine, carnosine, benfontamine, R lipoic acid), it also has 18mg of sodium

    So with all of these supplements that were referenced and taken - When do you take them??? Is it just a heaping handful of all of these in the morning with you're smoothie or breakfast. I assume you take these with a meal b/c most a fat soluble...or do your taken them sporadically throughout the day. This would be extremely helpful for everyone.

    As always, thank you for sharing Dr. you’re the best. Question is taking probiotics in capsule form better than eating your probiotics. could the capsule form disrupt your digestion/flora?. and my other question is, does supplementing with melatonin eventually burn out your receptors?.

    VERY surprised Dr. Rhonda has not tried Taurine yet.
    I have taken inositol before but have never taken it before bed as I was concerned of it possibly causing wild dreams.

    Was taking PQQ for awhile but stopped because it seemed like there was very little evidence it was beneficial. Will have to look back into it. Was also taking Great Lakes... before they'd send info on their heavy metal testing but years later now, they refuse to show it to me or post it online. Switched to Vital as their heavy metals were pretty low on some tests I found.
    How do you feel about astaxanthin? I take LE Macuguard with just lutein/zeaxanthin, but thinking about upgrading to the version with asta. Love this content.

    Magnesium is front row right now. What about potassium? LMNT contains 200mg of potassium but with a ton of sodium. And even 200mg is far below FDA recommended target.

    I very much respect your knowledge,, but the one thing I don't understand is why are you taking this quantity of supplements overall? It is a lot, and I'm not inferring a negative to it, more wanting the understanding of why that amount is needed specifically for your body?

      Although I enjoy aspects of the show, they have a commoditized industry or niche here. Bottom line, you don’t need any supplementation unless specifically prescribed for a particular condition derived by lab analysis etc. Get your nutrients from your diet and stay active and lean as possible.

      I think that’s fair but each person has different bodies. Everyone has different exercise, work, and sleep schedules. Each person have been diagnosed with different conditions. Theres a lot of reasons why quantity of supplements varies

      I'm a big fan of IsoPure. And if it helps, my family is composed of two doctors, two nurses, a personal trainer, and a PT (and a marine biologist/engineer). We take our protein source research seriously

      I was wondering too as to why exactly such a high dose. I’ve been taking 2mg of melatonin daily before bedtime and I’ve been considering reducing the dose to 3 mcg

      Mostly they are not.. but all the suplements should be taken afer yr blood work.. you dont even know how yr hormon profiles looks like and taking just to take can easy downregulate them even more..

    Just read an article in Newsweek stating fish oil supplements may increase risk of stroke and heart disease for some: Over an average 12-year monitoring period, those with no known cardiovascular disease at the start of the study who regularly took fish oil supplements were 13 percent more likely to develop atrial fibrillation-a condition that causes an abnormal heart rhythm and increases your risk of stroke-and 5 percent more likely to have a stroke than those who did not take the supplements.

      The study you are refering was using EPA. The body doesn't need EPA and we should think of it as a drug, the same as statins.
      DHA on the other hand increases cell maleability this is good but creates an oxidant sensible cell wall. I would combine it with tocotrienol or other good fat antoxidant. It really SHOCKS me how much O3 these people are consuming without any protection for fat oxidation.

      There's so many excellent studies spanning decades that show Omega-3's in general have proven benefits on everything from cardiovascular health to brain functioning. I would be highly skeptical of any single study suggesting otherwise, unless that study is corroborated by others and includes a supporting metanalysis.

    LMNT has a crazy amount of sodium chloride
    I try to stay south of 1k sodium chloride as recommended by Dr. Greger
    I use Dr. Berg’s electrolyte product….not a Dr. Berg devotee but his product is excellent in my opinion

      @@susanbrown7938 did not know about that but I generally don’t care about people’s personal beliefs and Scientology is just that, I could not care less about it but it do seem weird. I don’t agree with some of what Berg says about nutrition and that is the real problem for me. I generally am in complete agreement with Dr. Patrick and to a lesser degree with Dr. Attia.       @@Erin60147 the Eulyte that I looked at had 250 mg salt which is reasonable Berg’s has 100 mg.
      My primary interest is potassium supplementation as my diet is a bit low on that one but LMNT is around
      1k mg salt which is too much for me but may be perfect for others

      Isn’t the sodium an important ingredient in electrolytes. Why do they put sugar in electrolyte drinks when sugar is toxic.

      @@cecliataur367 I didnt say I belive them but its what many influencers have said including Rohonda Patrick. It is true that there is decades of studies on creatine and many showing benefits. Rhonda herself did an entire video on the benefits of creatine. I just found it odd that it wasnt included in her supplement routine in this video.

      Studies show that creatine promote hair loss in individuals with genetic disposition to that. My dad is bald and brother is balding … so no gains for me.

      My Mom is 92 years old. She doesn’t take any supplements, eats a diet quite high in carbs, and doesn’t exercise. She is doing quite well for a person her age. Makes me think if all these optimizations are necessary

      I think of it as a hobby that allows me to feel good and get the best out of my life. It's much cheaper and more rewarding hobby than shopping, collecting things, or eating foods that are going to harm my health.

    Supplements are unnecessary if you consume a balanced nutritional diet. Keeping track of "necessary" and "unnecessary" supplements, and keeping track of supplement consumption, raises cortisol levels and is unhealthy.

    Pointless unless you've done Blood/DNA/ MTHFR testing et al. I'ts like asking what pharmaceuticals you take. Specific to whatever ails you. Do your own trial and error and what not, don't copy your heros supplementation regime
