Hi there, I appreciate your videos and that you actually steady the camera enough to get good views of the rock textures and such. Since you were asking, I'd say that the long rusty trough in the beginning is a spiral (screw) classifier/conveyor.The partition on the right side is where the drive system would go and the pipes in the bottom would either allow for fluidization or as drains for dewatering and slimes.
That is the Red Chispa claim you're looking at@19:24 , right? The Prosecutor's Club of So Cal controlled that claim five years ago. Probably still does. That claim is really good. I found my biggest nug there ten years ago. A quarter oz almost. Its very clay packed, making dry washing difficult. Detecting was really good there. Especially after a club outing when the ground was turned over by the dry washers. Great video. Keep them coming! The club dues were less than a hundred bucks a year then.
Hey man, great content on your channel. I'm new to prospecting, have only been prospecting one time down in the cargo muchacho mountains. I'm stationed on Fort Irwin near barstow. My buddy gave me his keene 151 drywasher so if you ever need a digging partner, let me know. I'll be scouting out some places real soon.
You are in a good area for metal detecting but not so much for dry washing. I use to own some property near coyote lake.. If you want a great place to dry wash... If your on Ft Irwin Rd. take a right onto Irwin Rd. and follow that down till you come to copper city rd. You'll find workings from pass mining in the area but if you have come to Dobson Rd. you have gone to far and will only be wasting your time. Good Luck!
Hey !! I live in El Paso tx just wondering how do you get to those spots ? What road do you take ? Was wondering if I can get some directions please. Thanks
that's a ride isn't it out there by randsburg I have the el paso mining district sign coordinates on my gps hoards of claims out there you in open territory or claim if open territory cool I will have off soon gonna borrow a gmt for a few days
There are 3 GPAA claims up there and still plenty of unclaimed land but yes there are a heck of a lot of claims. Especially where the ground looks good.

I believe so. Looks like good ground for detecting no doubt!

Yes the pipe was for water to the Holland camp. We had to haul water for awhile until my dad ran pipe from a spring.

If you are near Barstow then I would recommend checking out coolgardie. Some good gold out that way. We always welcome company on the trips.

Pretty cool area and lots to explore. So that's only about 45 minutes to an hour away ? Do you dry wash in this area?
Lots of drywashing up there.
They were useing it as a giant slooes
Can't understand why you're not sampling...seems a pity to not prospect ..anyway , keep on keepin'.

The area is the el paso mountains california.
Where does the tank get it's water from?
I would guess an underground source which is one reason I felt that hole was a well.
What side of the mountains is this at? It looks very interesting, I like you content very much.
The east side I believe. The road that crosses through 6ft under.
@@Oidium45 alright thank you.
Did they try to run a wash plant out there?
There were sever old wash plants in the area. It had not crossed my mind with this particular mining camp but very possible.
All tiny mines but they went so overboard with the infrastructure as if to say.....this time, it's gonna be big!
Interesting stuff, what maps were you referring to?
I use a combination of google maps and mylandmatters maps for the most part.
