I love Leon's chair, and he looks awesome in it. I worked in a school for children with special needs for 15 years( i loved working there so much. I got so much joy seeing the progress these kids made and how their faces lit up when they made new strides) One of my greatest experience in life was working there. I also raised my stepson who is Autistic. He is now 35 and just the most amazing man. You guys are truly wonderful parents and do everything to make life easier(better) for Leon. He is doing amazing, and Theo well my goodness he is just adorable. Love to all of you!

Leon needs bike gloves to protect his hands when wheeling around. It’ll help a lot. Make sure to lotion up his hands regularly so the gloves don’t callus up his hands. LOVE his new chair! Y’all are the best!

hey, you guys should ask about sleeve guards, clear water proof ones are best because you can still see the shirt colour, but it also is water proof which is nice and easy to clean

Yes we picked that type of chair so he could gain some independence but he will only be using it for transport like the grocery store or the mall some place that requires a lot of walking any other place like the park or therapy sessions he will use his walker

I'm happy for leon he can do so much in his wheel chair I like the out fitsthe George Foreman grill is the only way to go to grow stuff it gets all the fat away and it just makes the food taste so good I'm so glad you guys have one have a nice meal love you all

Yay for Leon getting some independence! Look into guards for the wheels. That way he has to use the metal instead of touching the dirty wheels

Leon looks like a cool big boy in his new chair. It won’t take him long to learn how to use it. To fix the sleeve issue, you can cut off the sleeves from an old rain coat. Sew elastic in both ends of the sleeves and wear these over his shirt. Someone else in the comments also mentioned clear sleeve guards. Same principal. Just looks more stylish but also more expensive.

Hi Jody and John my name is Carrie I also have CP and I use a wheelchair like Leon and sometimes I have accidents to so what I do to protect my cushion is take off the cover put the put the actual cushion itself inside a pillowcase and then put it back inside the seat cover that way if Leon has an accident it won't mess up the cushion that's inside of the cushion cover because most of the time they're only phone when you can't really clean that's why I put mine inside of like a pillowcase or anything you want to put it inside of and then put the seat cover back over it so if he does have accident you only have to wash the cover of the chair I hope this is helpful for you I also love the color of his wheelchair and I hope you guys also have a Merry Christmas
I agree but we covered the inside cushion in a small plastic bag and then put the cover over it. When it becomes soiled just take the cover off and wash it and the foam is still clean.
