I found this album in 2015 when I was dealing with paralyzing PTSD. I decided to move to another city where I knew no one and had trouble sleeping initially. I listened to this album almost daily to rest before bed for my first year.
Now, I am on an entirely different continent, and someone nearby at the park was playing the album to a friend.
I can't describe the feeling of listening to it again nine years later. But my eyes are misty and need ice cream definitely.

i (female) saw a really pretty boy tonight in a cafe (which i didn't like going to till today), pretty in my eyes; he was wearing a plaid shirt (dark green and black) with glasses and the same kind of haircut as the boy in this movie. but with a few white hair in between. beautiful soft hands playing a board-game with a friend. i watched him. he knew i was looking at him but probably didn't like me back. idk. but he knew and tried to look pretty. this album really feels like the feeling i have right now. i feel defeated but also good to feel such soft feelings. it's good to be young and alive. :)

Amazing album. Really shows Alex Turner’s ability as a songwriter. A lot of the time the more mainstream Arctic Monkeys songs are very commercial and made to be catchy and popular and make money (which is fair enough from a business perspective), but this album sounds like it’s had real time and passion put into it. Really amazing stuff.
