Jason: Can I at least cripple Joker from the neck down?
Batman: I suppose that’s a fair compromise.
Lol
it's funny how batman never considers this as an option like atleast break some bones man

Gd Movie Black Mask is a heck of a Criminal
Batman lets be honest....even the villains of Gotham HATE Joker. They even collectives kicked his ass for trying to blow up an orphanage
Jasons kind of the same as batman though. If Jason went through with killing joker, then it would break him mentally
Blame the government for not giving joker death sentence.. I understand Batman moral code.. Its not because he don't want to kill.. He just can't.. Batman trusted those corrupted Leaders
Jason is basically the original gun toting batman but as a reckless teen
This sounds like an interesting story tbh, in what comic did it happen?

A lot of people like to bitch and whine about his "No Kill" rule as if they're still his responsibility when incarcerated, when it doesn't even work like that when someone gets arrested irl.
Jason did care for Bruce. It's just the joker thing.
It’s true, but it’s how Joker would get killed is what concerns Bruce
Taking a personal revenge would corrupt and change Jason into a worse person
Bruce wanted to protect whatever innocence he had left
But yes Joker must be put down, but not in way that creates a worse Villian
Look at Injustice Superman
@christophersanchez7731 , how about him getting murdered by a random civilian, or by the Spectre? Dude is better, he can murder Joker and not be affected by his death because he is an angel of vengeance, not a human..
Yes true
Meanwhile jason on Arkham Knight only held back after they fought and he had an army and was talking all the time about how he was gonna kill him even scarecrow was curious on why he wanted him dead so bad
Why y'all talk bout me
For those asking, This is the BluRau version of Death in the Family, it had an extra feature that let you make choices to see different outcomes.
most people kill jason though
but that blu ray version didnt connect with the future animation movies right??
and also in one ending batman and superman try finding jason after he becomes the red hood?? do they actually find him??
what were the next connecting animation films??

At least he got the outlaws for a while... they never should have cancelled that run
Didn't he push a dude off a building, even pre-crisis?
@@josiaharaki7310 post retcon that made him more violent to begin with. And it was a serial rapist so... Good job kiddo
A lot of fans didn't like Jason Todd. They thought he was too arrogant and brash. That's why they voted for the writers to kill him off. I remember learning that on the History Channel when they did a special about the history of comic books. It was a fascinating documentary. Ah, back in the days when the History Channel talked about....History.
@FallouFitness_NattyEdition people disliked Todd because he was a clone of Dick Grayson from pretty much every conceivable way except for the fact he was blonde.
Sharlin was the one who hated him as a character and also wrote him being bratty and arrogant when everything before him wrote Jason as a normal and sweet kid just wanting to help. He was no more violent than Dick Grayson had been. Maybe even less sometimes since he didn't get into the Robin ratchet for revenge, he did it because he wanted to help, he wanted to do the right thing and save Batman's life.
It's a retcon to say he was always arrogant and out of control.
I also just don't believe people actually had the option to save him since the issue is out with what would have happened to him had Joker's plan failed. He'd be put into a coma and locked out of the stories anyway.
He finally call Jason "Son"
He's done it before
Killing Joker isn't about settling a score, it's about ensuring Joker doesn't hurt anyone again.
That’s like the main reason jason hated when bruce spared criminals because they could always get out and kill more
Yeah but Batman already is in a morally dubious role and once he starts deciding who lives and dies he’s as unaccountable as the villains he fights it’s the same reason Batman has very complicated feelings about the justice league tbh
I heard that in one comic, Batman said that if the Joker was killed, then the Gotham underworld would break out into a war for territory and leadership. He was not entirely sure that he would be able to protect innocent people and his family in such a case.
Batman doesn't kill not because it's below his moral code but because he has vowed never to become like the people he stops. Yes, they get out maybe kill one or two people, Joker excluded, but they are always stopped. If he were to kill, and he's stated it before, there is no going back from that. He's just as bad as people like the Joker and Penguin.
@@jordancrawford271Thank you! That’s exactly it! People don’t realize how dangerous it is to have such power over life, to be able to choose who lives and who dies. Look at what Joker has done, he’s caused so much anguish by killing people. Batman isn’t above the law so just because he can kill doesn’t mean he should kill. That’s why the justice system was created, you think the amount of times Joker has killed they would’ve taken the asylum off the list. At that point a death sentence should be ordered, Batman shouldn’t have to sully his hands nor should we glorify murder.
This is the version that batman wanted. He knows it shouldve been him😭😭
We have words for people who outlive a spouse: Widow and Widower.
We have a word for people who lose their parents young: Orphan.
We don't have a word for a parent who outlives their child. Because what word could capture something so horrific?
When batman said son it hit me hard😢
Yes
He could just break both his arms and legs, then make sure all four limbs are amputated.
With Jason's luck he'd come back with cybernetic limbs and a whole mess of new tricks.
he could heal the broken bones
@@user-silentnight1234 did you miss the part where I said amputated?
Or paralyze him
Even if Joker were to be put in a vegetative state, I feel that his fanatics such as Harley would still do things for or in his name hell, someone might try to be Joker as Jason was for Batman
joker deserved it tbh
But the sad part is if you kill Joker he’s winning because he wants you to lose control and Batman admits if he kills Joker he won’t know from right to wrong. Because it was all be blurry for him. Meaning he would kill criminals and his rogues that actually have a motive behind their crimes or just the broken criminals like Croc, 2Face, Riddler, Mr Freeze.
@jaysenbustamante9926 but it's Jason not batman. Joker's goal was to break batman, not Jason he tried to do that by trying to kill Jason and crippling Barbara. Thats why after all Joker technically lost.

Vengeance doesn't bring peace... It just brings emptiness... You've accomplished your goal on ending the life of the enemy you've hated your whole life - now what, just move on after all the opportunities you've pushed aside just to end his life?...
When your enemy is as sadistic as the *Joker* , no one should feel guilty for ending him. Many innocent lives could have been saved if he’d been taken “off the street” permanently.
It's also ultimately futile as shown in the Red Robin ending. Gotham stayed a blood soaked hellhole and Joker and Black Mask were just more statistics added to the tally.
Only now Jason has to live with failing to honor Bruce's dying wish and desecrating his legacy for pointless revenge.

@@imahumanperson361vigilantism is illegal for a reason. At the end of the day, Batman is still technically a citizen. He can defuse situations but killing is a no go. Allowing anyone to be judge, jury, and executioner could lead down a path of even more chaos.
@@nokopanda4642 Gotham’s police have proven that they can’t deal with him. The logic of “vigilantes are illegal for a reason” stops at the point super villains or a threat that the police can’t deal with begins. Superman is *also* a vigilante. Maybe *HE* should just leave the Metropolis PD to deal with all the super powered freaks by themselves! Moving back to Joker, he has killed *hundreds* if not *thousands* and the so called justice system of Gotham has *still* let the freak live and he *keeps* breaking out. If the justice system or our police fail us, why should we be complaining when someone strong enough to make the hard calls steps up to the plate and does the right thing?
@@nokopanda4642 Gotham PD has *proven* time in and time out that they can’t effectively deal with the Joker, or any of the *rest* of Batman’s rogues gallery for that matter. On top of that, Gotham’s so called justice system has *let him live* time in and time out and keeps putting him in the *same* Asylum that he has *broken out of* time in and time out. The logic of “vigilantism is illegal for a reason” stops at the point when a justice system constantly fails its people, which applies to real world scenarios, not just this.
It’s a wonder to me that you would rather allow someone like Joker to run rampant and kill hundreds of innocents than to just let someone pull the trigger on *him* . The life of one physcotic mass murderer for the lives and livelihoods of hundreds who have done nothing wrong is a pretty good deal and *stops* the chaos in its tracks.
In his final moments he still wished for nobody to killed

Genuinely think this could've been an alternate reality. Kinda like Earth-2 or Earth-3. Like, y'know, Bruce being the best dad in DCU then Jason going through this phase of desperately wanting to kill all villains and Tim who's figured that Dick was Robin before Jason and Bruce was Batman pulls Jason back from being monster who took everything away from him (I.E: the killer people fear no matter how good his intentions are). So, he's the one who takes up the mantle of Batman and gets Tim to become his Robin because only Tim can keep him from becoming crazy plus Tim reminds Jason of Bruce so he believes that once he can't anymore, Tim can take mantle. And yes, Joker fucking dies before that. And yes, Black Mask is Jason's nemesis. He has a love angle with Artemis without being Outlaws. He runs a garage and Grayson manages Wayne enterprises mostly (since Jason doesn't seem like the type of guy to take much interest in being rhe CEO of sum corp company).
This would make for an amazing movie

“For Joker” is crazy
Wdym? Why so? Because he's crazy?
Killing him would end the pain for a whole lot of people. No future victims without future murderer.
Unfortunately they live in a universe of superheroes & supervillains! Death isn't permanent and there is this trope called Joker Immunity which is a character who is able to cheat death! Seriously there are plenty of examples in media of Joker dying only to come back to life through various means! In Batman Beyond, it's via Cadmus tech implanted in Tim Drake that allows Joker to take control of his body! In Arkham Knight, various individuals who were injected with Joker's titan infused blood were influenced by him causing them to develop aspects of his personality or in Batman's case, a full on representation of Joker himself which tries to make him into a more violent vigilante!
What I'm saying is that killing Joker will either not stick or he'll find some way to return! Killing Joker wouldn't bring Bruce back & probably wouldn't last, or some villain would take up the Joker's mantle!
Well, he didn't actually say the words, "I promise", before Bruce died did he? So technically, he can still kill the Joker.

This whole thing with Batman and Joker is ultimately just that Joker is their main villain to toy with Batman and they want their villains permanently around as regulars, so can't just remove them. It's literally just plot armor for villains. And of course they also want to keep these comic book heroes hands clean anyway to have that pure hero morality that can also appeal to kids, but villains can still be removed if they actually wanted. In Spider-Man they had the villains do it to themselves. It's a cheap convenient solution, but that's the only choice they give themselves with superheroes.
