Yamaha AT-1 to CT-1 magneto rewire

- Rewire the CT-1 magneto, wires were cut and hard a brittle. Installed new wires, color coded correctly and new wire covering. Solder connections at the magneto and install new correct connectors at the top end.
Always enjoy fallowing along, just bought one of those wiring kits and the crimper from Vintage Connections.

Dale, you mentioned not painting in the beginning of the vid, because of the cold probably? An old guy near me showed me how he paints all his tractor restorations in the winter. He said the paint smooths out much better and there is very little dust in the air also. I will say his results were better than most all I have seen. Very smooth and shiny. Of course he isn't using water based. I think it was mostly enamels and lacquer paint. Just takes longer to dry. Something to consider.
Hi Kevin, I'm sure it works well, I usually paint with automotive two-part urethane, I am not that great of painter to start with, I am afraid I would have runs all over the place if I painted in cooler weather than the reducer is made for. I can paint inside, for I do have heat and ventilation. But would rather not. I tend to put off painting because I dont like the prep that much. That being said, I need to paint some tanks and fenders now, winters coming. Thanks for hanging out in the shop with me.

@@will7its Oh wow the car, it is still in progress, still needs some work and most of the interior. Kinda lost interest would rather work on bikes. I need to sell some other cars to make room for this one out in unheated storage, and out of the shop.
