I’ve been following Girls Gone Bible for a little while now. My children are young adults and I listen to educate myself on the culture they walk in every day. It is absolutely inspiring to see a group of young people seeking after the Lord and using their platforms to share the gospel. With all the negativity that is online nowadays that our youth is exposed to, these conversations, give me hope for your generation and the generations to come.! Agreed. I won't say pain , I would say suffering. Being that we are flesh, we will experience pain and knowing Jesus will in many ways require us go through his lifestyle which involved pain That way you can truly know God's Strength in weakness or pain. If you are always 'strong' you may struggle to surrender things to God entirely. In suffering also you are made conformable unto him, like one with him in the process of suffering/purification/sanctification.
You are explaining what LDS people have gone through forever. We live a different standard. It's because we don't want to be separated from God or be led to situations that will lead us to sin. It's the exact same thing you are talking about and it's good to see others outside our church living and striving for the same things! It can be a tough way to live but worth it! I relate to y’all so much in many things bc I live in LA too and I’ve been a Christian my whole life but I recently finally got into a better and deeper relationship with Jesus and i am avoiding all these places where I know the Holy Spirit wouldn’t like to be a part of! You can be alone and focused, or you can be alone and distracted. Being alone and Distracted is the window for anxiety, depression, regret, envy, rage, and other lesser attributes to set in and take hold... Whereas if you are alone and focused, you are in the state of being known as The Flow State. This is the door for hope, passion, drive, faith, self-confidence, self-awareness, self-respect and respect, etc... The Flow State allows these 'powers' to rise up within yourself when coherent with your heart and spirit energies.

I am 42, and I have done some grimy things, done many different drugs, sure had some fun along the way, but fact is, none of it got me anywhere. In fact. if anything, the opposite. As a former cigarette smoker and now vape smoker still, I felt I had the skills to play soccer,.. but when I went to the tryouts I couldnt run 2 miles because my lungs wanted to explode.. then as I got older I had some good career opportunities, 1 of which I would be retired by now.. didnt take them because I didnt want to take a pee test because I smoked marijuana.. 2 paths alone that could have led me to be someone very different. I feel blessed today after 2 weeks of Jesus grabbing a hold of me and pulling me toward the right path, but the last 14 years I had 2 less than savory relationships and I could potentially have avoided those if I wasnt doing stupid things when I was younger to bring me to that point. Sorry so long winded, but fact is I never really was told this type of stuff was what would happen if I did this or that..
I was in a kilometre long tunnel in the Swiss Alps at midnight with balance problems ... exactly and that is what I did. And of course the fast train never came

I surely understand where you're coming from but these girls, themselves say they're not perfect. They're just 2 Born again Christian girls podcasting about Christ whilst having their own battles.And their videos have been revolutionary for me as a new born again. We're just children of God trying our best to be more like Jesus everyday and people need to take what helps them and surely not idolise people too much and have these expectations. Pastors have their own battles, leaders have their own battles. WE'RE ALL JUST SUBMITTING TO GOD EVERYDAY.
So many things make sense but let's also be careful in how "judge" other people. Unless we're CLOSE with people, we can only PRAY that the holy spirit will do the work. These GGB girls are doing a lot for the community, they're showing up in the best way they can, and also still in the process of sanctification. So let's all be gracious to ourselves and to one another.
You gotta test the spirit to any video someone may make, does it align with scripture? Is it taking things out of context? I am actually really impressed with this conversation and the Holy Spirit is evident, the girls talk about scripture and it is clear who they want to reach, those who are seeking Jesus . This is their outreach. I just want to caution you about influencers who make videos about other people, you need to use a lot of wisdom when listening to those and always test the spirits.
