    I’ve worked in the restaurant/bar industry my entire adult life, and I’ve seen a lot of crazy things. The defendant’s mannerisms scream “functioning alcoholic.” He definitely appears to be drunk in court! I’m truly surprised Judge Milian didn’t call him out on it.

    I agree, all 4 of these litigants were...on something! To see the plaintiffs leaning over "laughing" on the lectern was a bit odd. The way the defendant was looking at the ceiling several times was weird, watching the "handyman" scratching at his arm screams tweaking & the way the plaintiff was so animated when the co-plaintiff started to speak outta turn was just, awkward. I think the 3 of em were a match made for each other 🤦🏼‍♀️ just creepily odd😧

    NGL, if you met both the plaintiffs and defendant in a restaurant having dinner together and struck up a conversation, you’d think they’re related just by the intensity of their demeanor being somewhat similar (in my opinion). On another note, glad the plaintiffs won!

      They don't have to be, the landlord had zero credibility and clearly has no understanding of what legally or even basic ideas what being a landlord entails.
      At the end he tries to claim it wasn't a lease and he wasn't a landlord, despite the fact the whole counter suit he made CAN ONLY BE MADE BY A LANDLORD.
      As the landlord is the one gaining financially from the relationship they has the bulk of the responsibilities.

    Something is clearly off with this defendant as he continued to look up to the ceiling dumbfounded but was obviously bothered when the plaintiff talked about his friend whom had died in the apartment. I believe the plaintiff's and were more than able to prove their case..

      Lying. Avoiding eye contact like that is an indication of lying and/or trying to make up a lie on the spot. But they all seem weird to me.

      He just seemed off from the start of this which continued throughout. His emotions due to his deceased friend seemed to have humanized him at least for a moment..

    These have to be the WORST defendants EVER! I'm sorry but the death of someone in their home that you are renting to someone is DEFINITELY WITHOUT A QUESTION relevant to the case! Moreover, I'm willing to bet that the defendant will think twice before allowing someone who CLEAR SIGNS of crack-cocaine addiction (who he probably shares with, "an assumption" as he said repeatedly) to be his star bombshell witness. This loser needs help, BIG TIME, if he EVER wants to be a winner at anything. Pretty sickening to watch.

    The defendant claims not to be the landlord, but just a tenant, and says they paid the bank directly, then it turns out the mortgage is under his name, so he IS the landlord. These have to be the weirdest plaintiffs and defendants ever, they all seem to be under the influence of something or other...
