  • We had 3 excursions with a private tour and enjoyed it very much.
    Signal Hill
Our first stop was at Signal Hill, a place with historical significance. On December 12, 1901, Guglielmo Marconi and his assistant George Kemp, confirmed the reception of the first trans-Atlantic wireless communication. With a telephone receiver and a wire antenna kept aloft by a kite, they heard Morse code for the letter "S" transmitted from Poldhu, Cornwall in England, a destination 3500 kilometres (about 2175 miles) away from Signal Hill. Visitors can learn about the history of the wireless communication and how it was done at Cabot Tower. Besides this historical first, the views from Signal Hill are spectacular!
    Quidi Vidi Village
Our second stop was at Quidi Vidi Village, a small quaint fishing village adjacent to Quidi Vidi Lake. It is one of the most beautiful fishing villages we have seen. This village is known for its wooden cottages nestled near the edge of the water and set against a backdrop of rugged hill. Besides enjoying the beautiful scenery, there are also several small businesses including a brewery and artisan studios.
    Cape Spear
Cape Spear is a headland located on the Avalon Peninsula of Newfoundland near St. John's in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador. At a longitude of 52 degree 37', it is the easternmost point in Canada and North America, excluding Greenland. It is the first place the sun rises in Canada, along the eastern coast of Newfoundland. It is also known for its iconic lighthouse which was constructed in 1836 and is the oldest in Newfoundland.

@@trueposition6329 You must watch Hudson and
Rex. There are 6 seasons so far. It's the best thing on
TV.British drama is too violent and aggressive.I am
      totally addicted.Thanks again.😊
