breaking it down like that really helps me .....the triad in D and then the same thing in G......good lord i have struggling and this makes it a lot simpler and "does the song justice ".....thumbs up !!
I’m a beginner and I definitely love this video. To play Crazy Little Thing Called Love has been my goal and I think this tutorial will help me achieve it.
Good teacher. Love the lesson.
Definitely learning a lot here but what I hear in the recording is different.
This is a really great lesson. I love how you explain the bass line as well as what the bass line is. I think it's so important for bassists to know why the bass line works, not just what it is. Well done.
awesome............................ thanks
Thanks so much for the free PDF and the amazing easy to follow video tutorial... Queen is one of my favorites and Deacon is such an innovative bass player.
Excellent as always , James. Thank you!
I am so happy to have found this video! I’ve been struggling with parts of this song so having it broken down in segments has been fabulous. Your explanation of each segment is very helpful. Thank you so very much.
Glad I could help!
The best lesson Ford this Song !
Sweet!! very use full. I will buy in to your course as soon as the job I am on is finished and I have real time. Lv the last segment where you put your hands on it and cover it with cool, is solid gold, a pleasure to hear!

Awesome lesson, as always. Thanks!
Thanks Dana!
Love your instruction dude 💪 I’m a zoso but like you say they go together a good bass can make a drummer sound better and a good drummer can make a bass sound better 💪
Yeah! They go hand in hand together!
Ace... love it... perfectly explained.
Thanks Richard!
Thanks James. As usual very well explained. Just love your lessons even though I know some of these songs.
You're very welcome, Edwin! Thank you for those kind words!
Really well explained. Well done!
Cheers Istvan!
great teaching style!!
Thanks Ryan!
Super explained, thumbs up 👍
Cool! Glad you like it!
Fantastic job on breaking down your arrangement, as well as explaining the theory which is really valuable for beginners and intermediate players. However, it should be noted that it is quite different to the recorded version.
I have taken note of that, Justin! All the best!
I need to hire you as my bass instructor
Un cavernícola bajista wow
james .Happy lessons..😀
Thanks!!!!
U Welcome
Nice One!! .... Máster...
Glad you like it!
fun song! great lesson! i like your outgoing, optimistic and positive teaching style. very clear instruction, broken down into manageable pieces. i wish you continued and growing success. that was some impressive plucking at the end of the vid. i enjoyed your lesson on 'i saw her standing there' as well.
i really try to avoid using a pick when playing bass, i want to develop strong plucking chops. i picked up online somewhere that when plucking notes on the E string, one should use the thumb to dampen the note shortly after plucking it. i've developed that habit reasonably well in that i consistently do it, but it sometimes results in a dull or stilted note. i was wondering if you're aware of this technique, and if so, do you have any thoughts on it?
i'm not sure if it has wide enough appeal here in youtube land to justify a lesson, but the song 'houston' by the gatlin brothers has a very cool bass line. thanks again for your contributions to the playing community :)
Glad you like it Jim! I appreciate your kind words! All the best!
Bass and drums lock in 2 get tha
All about locking in :-)
Hey Mr Buzz
I was waiting for the harmonic! But it never came.
Very basic and doesn't quite finish the job.
Harmonica?
This is a beginners break down.
What would it take for you leave a purely positive comment on one of my videos?
Im sensing you enjoy putting people down.
@@ebassguitar harmonic!! Not harmonica ha ha.
I just left a positive comment on your rendition of sweet home Chicago. I just tell it like it is james in the spirit of better bass playing
Uh , Uh ..... Is the pdf in another scale??? The stuff i learnt here doesnt seem to be in the pdf???? DuuuH ?
The correlates directly to the concepts taught in the lesson John...
