It was lovely that you shared how you felt travelling so far from home with your two little girls. That takes a lot of courage. I'm glad you had a wonderful time here in England. You gave your daughters the most wonderful gift of magical memories but also when they get older they will take your lead and feel confident to explore the world around them. Well done

I love that you got to go to Chelsea! I was there on the Wednesday. Wasn't it fabulous. I love your channel and hearing you talking about people like Monty Don and Gardeners World. I also live about 50 mins drive from Daylesford so go about once a month. Such an inspiring place. Love your beautiful garden too xx
Thank you so much, Izzy! We just loved every minute of it. Now that I’ve kind of sorted out how the show works and where everything is I’d love to go again someday. We thoroughly enjoyed your beautiful country. As the girls and I drove through the Cotswolds and the countryside we kept saying, “oh my gosh! It’s gorgeous,” at every turn something new took our breath away.

Thank you for this very honest look at travel. I feel the same way! I enjoy travel research and want choices, but like plenty of flexibility for my family to decide day to day what we feel like doing so that we can rest or just savor our environment when needed! We tend to like the slower off the beaten path options anyway. Trying to fit in too much feels like checking things off a list rather than a vacation!
Absolutely! I want to resist that feeling of pressure to check something off a list just because it’s popular, and I feel like I have to do it. Usually that means saying no to a lot of the touristy bits that maybe aren’t really that great. If I can avoid a huge crowd or a long line, especially traveling solo, that is my preference.

This takes me back to when I planned travelling with Amtrak through the US for a month. All reservations were gone when arriving at Grand central😆Had to be redone by phone. All tourist attractions, hotels etc took a lot of research. Those were the times! Fun to see three American flowers living out their dream. Go for it as long as the kids are into their dresses and flowers. Next time they will be like ugh, moooom do we have to?😇
Exactly! Traveling while still hard and stressful at times has gotten MUCH easier over the past decade alone. Even more so over the last five years. My thoughts exactly re the girls, we are in a sweet spot she wise. Such a huge bucket list moment for me to experience this with them, and for them to enjoy it.

Aww thank you, the girls had a grand time. I remember Dannahue having a nice zesty scent, and it felt like a combination between Lady of Shallot and perhaps Jude the Obscure or Carding Mill. Overall not too terribly distinct IMHO. It may grow on me though!
