This video contains actual video of the band, a first for me! I'm a huge fan of Champagne Supernova and it was played on every single tour after it came out so I thought I would compile a video containing a performance of the song from each year that it was performed. Throughout the video you'll notice how the song changes from the huge 10-12 minute closer that it used to be to just a 6-8 minute version that's sometimes even shorter than the studio version.
As expected, you'll also notice Liam's voice changing quite a bit, sometimes for the better (2006 compared to 2008) and sometimes for the worse (2002 compared 2003. It's a wild ride though and I hope you enjoy, if this is something that you'd like to see me do with other songs, do let me know!

1995 Earls Court is my favourite from the 1990s.
2005 Milan gig is my favourite from the 2000s.
    10 years apart, still banging.
Edit: Been a while since I've listened to CS, feels like listening to it for the first time all over again like 2021. When life was great for us. And the only thing keeping me calm after that dreadful England performance against Denmark today. We was awful.

in 95 and 96 he sounded great. But started shouting and screeching to sound cool and loud. The damage was noticeable then in 1997 and it went downhill for next 15-20 years. Hashimoto's disease is complete bullshit. It was somewhat palatable until about early/mid 2002. But after that it sounded truly terrible. I see they slowed it down by 99 and then again in 2004 and then again in 2006 and so on lol

Probably it was more technical than other years due to Chris' style.

Gem in particular really changed performances of songs like this, Morning Glory, The Masterplan, etc, by making them sound like they do on the damned albums, whereas Bonehead stuck to being *STRICTLY* the consummate rhythm guitarist! Why he didn't cover some of the lead licks that Gem did... I'll never know! But, the classic lineup, The Gallagher Bros, Bonehead, Guigsy, & Whitey... Those were the magic yrs, man! Shame there wasn't an internet back then... Or, one that could've let The US see what was going on in The UK, anyway! Their rise was so meteoric! From unsigned to Knebworth in abt 2 & 1/2 yrs FFS! That's truly incredible! Especially in hindsight...
    Cheers, fellas... From America.✌️👍🇺🇸🇬🇧

He sounds surprisingly good in 2000! The decline is evident in 2001 and by 2004 it is just unlistenable

I would have put chile 1998 instead of budokan to show how destroyed his voice was at the end of the BHN tour. Honestly budokan CS is a pretty overrated performance in my opinion.
