OOTP 25 Ep 23 Navigating the Trade Deadline and Plundering Booty

Welcome back to OOTP 25 and a lackluster Pirates season. This week we attempt to get whatever assets we can at the trade deadline, and unfortunately the pickings are slim for Captain Jack. We end up landing four deals in total, none of which are org changers but all of which steer us in the right direction.
First, the Pirates say a solemn farewell to Mitch Keller, who was one of the players I was most excited to build this team around. However, his performance has led him to absolute ruin this season and there was no way he was getting a long term extension at this rate.
Next, we move Aroldis Chapman in a trade that lands us our most interesting prospect of the deadline in Wikelman Gonzales, a pitcher with tons of tools and zero control. We'll see if Captain Jack can tame the beast and turn him into a flamethrower. We also land another trade with Boston that completes the circle, and while I wasn't thrilled with it in the moment our AI assistant GM was all thumbs up.
Lastly, we land a bittersweet deal proposed to us by AI Mike Hazen of the D'Backs. While it seemed like an odd deal to accept on paper, our AI assistant was a big fan as well so I bit the bullet.
Rowdy Tellez somehow still stays on our team as I don't believe anyone was interested in giving up anything good for him to begin with. We miss out on some key deals I hoped to land, but we've rounded third base and are heading home for the final stretch of the season with no regrets (or tons of them that we can't do anything about).
