Dear ptr, 2 yrs plus of your sermons and CCF d groups. 10 months in PH, of same. My view grows in strength that your well connected life in PH society, very old connections, color your faith very much. I am sure you deeply love the Lord, and the bible, I still affirm you are a very good Bible teacher. However I have much less conviction that your perspective is grounded purely in faith. All you do
has succeeded - the big crisis with biz and your daughter aside, you roll on and on, earn high, easily able to travel and do whatever. You are unique in PH, you are the 1% here, besides you always want to do ccf sermons in English. I have observed ccf first hand long enough to see most ccfers are not like you, in most ways and especially what you teach. Most do not hear you, and are unfamiliar with the way you apply the Bible in rels and family, and stewardship. I see it every week. It’s so interesting observing CCF dna, I moved here thinking it will be a lot like what I hear from you but it isn’t to a great extent. Not sure yet what is a solution but probably one is that typical Filipinos teach more at CCF main and you move out of the spotlight. Including your sons, son in law who are so much like what I described above. They are also of the 1% in PH. Most of us who do not earn cannot relate to you and your family.
