I Fixed NO SPARK on a Honda TRX with a $5 Pit Bike CDI - Then Something VERY BAD Happened

I just picked up the this 1988 Honda Fourtrax TRX125 Quad. The owner couldn't get it running, he was having problems with no spark. The way it sat, it won't fire. I had to troubleshoot the entire ignition system on the TRX 125 to get it running. The handlebar controls look like they were sitting out in the rain for decades so I hot wired the CDI to see if it would get spark. No luck there, so I tested the pulse generator and stator to see if they were bad. Nope! I then tested the coil and the CDI, what one was the culprit? I took a coil off of a TRX200SX fourtrax quad but had that didn't work. I then made a wiring harness to plug a chineese ebay pitbike cdi to the quad and it fired!!!! Then, VERY BAD THINGS HAPPENED! Had the same issue with my ATC250ES, swopped out the old CDI with a new one and she purred like a kitten. With regards to the lower end, you are on your own (",) Would love to see a video on fixing up that lower end though.

My 95 300 ex is doing the same one spark maybe then none I'm going to start hear . ..I've also heard puting cdi in oven at 265 for 15 min works ?
