I'd have to buy the moto morini. It looks far nicer and is the perfect mix of modern and retro. If I wanted speed and excitement above everything then I'd buy neither, so the lower power doesn't bother me.... in fact, on the back of this video, I've just sent in an enquiry to a local dealer about getting a morini scr test ride.....

I've just put a deposit down on a Cfmoto 700. I like the looks and comfort. Another factor in choosing the Cfmoto over the Moto Morini is the lack of Moto Morini dealers anywhere near where I live. The fact that Cfmoto are now selling out of KTM franchises means there are plenty of dealers within a 60 mile radius of home .

Morini styling is way better but the extra oomph of CF makes the choice complicated ;)
I like both but would I take either over the cheaper Honda Hornet?
Would be interesting to see what is and isn't covered in the warranty especially with your testing being done during the nice warm weekend but how would it fair in the damp winter salt air of Lowestoft if used as an everyday commuter bike

CFMoto for me based on the bigger engine and the looks. I'll be sticking with what I have, though. Excellent review.
I like both , be interesting to see the reliability of both makes . 4 year warranty is great though. £6.5k to £8k segment is getting crowded , honda hornet is a bargain currently
It's the same platform that's been made for a decade, I think it's pretty reliable. Based on older ER6 / Ninja 650

shame the cfmoto 700 heritage was a comparison at 74 hp and cheaper than the sim 6.5
Although...the ducati ICON trumps both of these bikes and it's 30kgs lighter..
CF Moto on sound alone, Morini handle bar cable routing is a mess.
