The concept is pretty interesting, and I wonder if you can leverage the treasures off Edward to do the assassination trigger in late game. Could be fun to toy around with.
Yeah that was definitely an added bonus. I figured it'd be kind of rare so I didn't really bring it up. If you had access to fetchlands and duals, you could probably design a pretty solid mono-black centric deck with off color fetching to support the WUBRG and a few other cards to simplify the colors.
altho i dont care abt ass creed, i really like thematic decks so its super nice to see you make a deck entirely out of this (pretty small) set! i guess it obviously comes with the downside of being very limited and frail to having ezio removed, but i really appreciate your videos and deckbuilding senses! cheers!

Nice! I've been brewing this Dimir too, and adding treasure synergies, to maybe hit that last ability late game. Seems like they've been pushing assassins as Dimir for a while.
I think extra combat steps would be nice and on flavor with double hidden blades
So I guess this deck doesn't play into the WUBRG Ezio ability at all since it has a relatively hard time making white?
Besides from that I would be very hesitant to play a deck that is so very heavily commander dependent it seems pretty sweet and looking at it I do think that there are definitely enough cards in this set that it feels like there could have been commander precons.

Assassin Creed was never my jam, but the deck looks cool!
I *love* thematic decks, but I am concerned that this set just doesn't have enough stuff to support a 100% AC deck? Only having a total of like 9 fixing lands and no ramp makes it really difficult to hit the normal threshholds you want for a commander deck.
On the other hand, I'm glad they're printing a set that is a little more low-key than 4 commander decks with all the staples, or a full draftable set
I recommend watching the video! You actually need very little to make this deck work and it works quite well because your commander cheats in creatures for just 2 black

I had actually watched, but was somewhat talking a cross purposes with it. The setup you have seems reasonable given the constraints, but you're gonna end up being even more commander centric than most decks because you just literally can't play spells without Ezio FreeRunning
