They casted the 2 little girl s perfectly for this movie cause ironically enough I just noticed. As I stare at the young white girl I forget her name but based on the trailer s seeing her with abs without the demon possessed make up she strikingly resembles a young Linda blair in her face n she so kinda sounds n looks just like how Linda blair looked at that age from the original film 1973..does anyone agree that she is a eerie reminiscent of a young Linda blair or Regan McNeil or could easily portray a daughter or grand daughter to Regan s character kinda like the Laurie strode grand daughter role in Halloween 2018 and resembled jamie lee curtis s mom Janet Leigh from her younger teen years.. I believe this actress could have been written to play a relative daughter or granddaughter to Regan McNeil just like they explored that in the exorcist TV series season 1 with Geena Davis portraying Regan McNeil at a much older age n they had a demon possesses Reagan s daughter who was a young teen n They did Regans story somewhat justice showing Regan now and how she's been living and dealing with her past life from the first 2 exorcist films where she knows very well the demon can easily come back n take possession over her or her life anytime again if it finds a way back to her even though the past demons have left her soul n body from the exorcism s ftom the first 2 movies. .yea the little girl has a uncanny resemblance to how Linda blair looked with n without her demon possession make up especially when she s in the demon devil make up n she's glaring n smiling evil at the screen she totally looks almost like Regan at that age from the original exorcist 1973 film... I kean totally even if they followed through to do or try an attempt at reimagining or doing a reboot remake to the original exorcist this young actress could easily do the Regan McNeil Linda blair role as a newer version portrayal of Regan McNeil for a updated reboot..but I'm certainly glad that it's a direct sequel follow-up to the original exorcist movie 1973 n decided to show how Elen Burstyn s character Chris McNeil is living all these 50 years later from the original movie
Very good movie. Lights, Camera, Action. Nothing to be afraid of. Nothing to be heart attack and die from not surprise. 🎬📷🎥
I need to make a comment or two and it's nothing bad. Yes it will be lidya jewett and Olivia marcum playing the 2 possessed girls. Olivia also goes by o neill as well and I'm not sure why they have 2 different last names for her but she is playing Katherine. Lidya is playing Angela. I also need to say that the water tunnel scenes are making me nervous. I hope nothing bad happens to either girl with the water tunnel but it does kind of concern me. I will be seeing this movie with other friends and I'm looking forward to it.
It's a safety net. If the movie bombs she's Ollvia Marcum but if it's a massive hit she starts her career as Olivia O'Neil.
I was wondering about that exact scene. The water tunnel demon hands pulling her down type scene. If it's inside her head, then maybe but the whole thing as you said makes me a bit uneasy. The original basically had 3 or 4 sets with the majority being in Regan's bedroom. Now I can understand wanting to open it up a bit, but?? That is a bit odd.
And like you I am looking forward to seeing this. I saw the original back when I was a kid and it terrified me. Now I really want to see where this leads.
I'm totally convinced that those scenes are depicting her experience while she's possessed. She's not entirely in Hell, just in a transitional plain where she is being pulled further and further into the depths. I imagine she's where Regan was when she was possessed.

Principal photography wrapped 23 November 2022 and reshoots (due to negative test screenings) ended March 2023. Obviously these Hollywood types are Fauci fans. Everyone knows masks don’t work.
