I have been a Christian for 61 years. I have heard every man of God preach, read all the classic Christian writings, been to so many seminars and conferences, etc ... I have always prayed for God to protect me from false prophets. I have never heard of her.

That’s why today I’m now a atheist. As a former ex Jehovah’s Witness, that organization is a dangerous, deadly, and harmful cult. Run by 8 leaders within and worth billions and having around 8.5 million members, they are destroying families, punishing by shunning ones who just wanna leave peacefully or have been major victims of abuse. Physical and mental abuse is huge within the organization. But it’s the child sex abuse cases and not phoning up the authorities to report these criminal sex abusers so as not to bring reproach on this cult and their so called God they call Jehovah. Their policies work against victims of child sexual abuse which leads to the victims being ostracized and blamed for being raped which has forced many of the victims to leave the church and then by doing so their families and friendships have been cut away from them and they become a shunned victim. Sadly being alienated from everyone they ever knew, many fall into deep depression and eventually commit suicide. This the power this cult has on families and victims of abuse. Cults are evil, dangerous, financially benefit a few at the top. There are some incredible documentaries about the JW’s here on CZcams. I encourage anyone who wants to educate themselves on this specific cult look up here on CZcams and do a search for “Jehovah’s Witnesses - The Four corners”. It paints the harm and dangers the cult possesses.

I agree to a point. Mega churches should pay taxes. Any church bring in over 2,000,000 a year should have to start paying taxes on everything not used in the ministry. Any of the finances that go to a person employeed by the church including the pastor themselves should be taxed like all other employees and anything not directly going to care for the property or charity/church missions should be taxed. Churches should be able to not be taxed. For only church money. Just cause it was donated to the church don't mean they are going to use it for the church. So if not then tax it like any other money making company.

That wedding was a produced stage show in a church where all eyes could be on her. It seemed to go on and on that way with her videos filmed in her mansions. It was all about exalting her and her "perfect" life. And the thinner and less healthy she looked the more macabre it all began to look on camera. Watching her makes me feel queasy and uncomfortable. The word "decay" goes through my head when I see her videos. I don't think she started out this way but something warped in her along the way and it is like her mind, body and spirit began to rot. I know that is a strong assessment but her whole vibe is just that unsettling to me.

On the flip side of this discussion, I personally felt richly blessed to travel the Weigh Down road with Gwen. Taking her courses with women who soon became my lifelong friends allowed me, for the first time in my life, to purposefully lose the weight that was, literally, weighing me down. THEN, she put a lot of time and effort in to giving us a truly spiritual way to lose the weight and to listen to God in everything.
I recently came across my Weigh Down tapes and notebooks, and I believe she was truly in tune with our God back then. Since that was approximately 24 years ago, I can only speculate that the world's temptations crept in on her little by little after that time. I pray that she recognized her fall away from grace into greed and that she was able to repent before she met her untimely end.

Jesus came to Earth to die for our sins ! 10 years ago I had knee surgery ! When I woke up in recovery the doctor said that that the part of my knee that needed to be fixed Was the wrong part of my knee and he couldn't do it because he didn't have my signature because I was under anesthesia. I was 40 years old then now I'm 51 About a week after surgery when I was home I couldn't breathe so so my husband took me back to the orthopedic surgeon the orthopedic surgeon I went to the emergency room and they did a ultrasound ultrasound and an MRII and they found 4 blood clots in my legs and blood clots in my lungs ! I should have been dead right when the blood clot broke off and went to my lung ! Come to find out I had the same blood disorder that my father had and he died at the age of 61 ! He was the best dad and the most godly man I have ever met in my entire life and now he is in heaven ! The Lord saved my life that day there was no other explanation I should have been dead right then when I hit my lung ! My father would go into maximum security prisons and do Bible study with the inmates and a lot of them would get degrees while they were in prison ! Well I felt a tugging on my heart and I know it was the Lord my father my father passed the Baton on to me to keep working with these inmates ! Our soul belong the belongs to the Lord our our flesh when we die we'll go back to dust but our S our soul which is the true us like us like our personality our True self will go right back to God Because he created us and he created Our soul that only he can fill!!! We will all stand in front of him the 2nd that we die whether you believe that or not it's fact it's fact and I'm gonna pray for you ! He was in hell for about 20 minutes When this man was describing hell he was shaking , He said he would have killed for a drop of water on his tongue Call MA And people were screaming But he said you couldn't talk to anyone like he would talk but nobody could hear him ! He said I can't describe it in words it was pure torture ! Next he said the Lord Was the most kind gentle And loving towards him ! And then the Lord said it's not your time yet ! He said that he started crying An apologizing over and over for denying Christ his whole life ! He woke backup in his hospital room And the doctors were in shock but they also told him that they had seen this Before. He was up on the stage talking while being interviewed And he said his life has not been the same since that day ! The Lord says, Only a fool doesn't believe in God ! Do you think that this world just created itself And you and how our bodies work so Integrately ? Just like a painting Can it paint itself or is there a painter that paints it ? In the same way God-created us ! I don't know you But I care where you are going to end up when you die ! 1 of 2 places for all eternity ! And the true meaning of sad I've sad is if you deny him your entire life and you end up in hell ! The 2nd that we die We will all stand before Christ and give an account for our lives ! OK, how can I say this without sounding cruel? I was born and raised as a Baptist but I also grew up in a spiritual family . With that said though I've never really strayed far away from the church . I'm only 34 years old and to be honest with you I've never heard of her until a few days ago and when I watched a very good documentary about her my jaw dropped! When you don't do things for the greater good of your congregation and community you can't expect to reap a good reward ! With all due respect Gwen allowed fame and greed to consume her and in my opinion she lost sight of what was important and that was doing the work of God . It's sad she lost her life as well as the other people that were with her but she couldn't have thought that God was gonna allow her to enjoy the riches she gained from deceiving so many people . And I feel that the church staff members who died with her should have held her accountable more for her deceit. On the flip side of things though we have to ask ourselves how could they have held her accountable when they were caught up in glamour and false teachings pretty much brainwashed? This is a prime example of why we should all that believe in the word of God learn and discern the Word for ourselves. Our walk with God is supposed to be personal so you don't always need the church to get a solid relationship with God. The foolishness that Gwen founded her empire on is the reason why so many people are walking away from the church and Christianity as a whole. The fact that she left nothing to the church speaks volumes about her compassion and intentions together!

I visited a church when I lived out in CA. They did not have a building where they met, but met in parks and rented out faciliites. The pastor and his wife saddled up to me and my husband and immediately started trying to control out lives, our parenting style any money. I was told to spank my daughter, and to sell my engagment ring and give the money to the church. I noticed that they lived in a nice home, had a very nice motor home, she had huge fake boobs and wore about a 4 karat diamond on her finger. Needless to say, I cut all ties with these people. I observed how controlling they were with the single people in their cult as well. When a "peson of God," tells you to go out and sell everything and give to the church, you need to open your eyes. Especailly if they are living of lifestyle of luxary.
People need to start worshipping in their home,stay away from crooks.

The Bible says to not forsake the assembling of yourself together . There are churches that are not seeking after wealth but are seeking after lost souls. I go to a small church and no one is wealthy . We don’t take up offerings but there is a plate in the back if you want to pay your tithes . We never have to ask for money and the bills are always paid. Those bills are just electric and water. So there are churches not out for gain you just have to seek them out. It probably want be long until house churches will be the norm because the churches will be shut down. I have always found that small churches are best . You get to know the people and have a personal relationship with them . I love my church.
This is why the church was never designed to be under one pastor making all of the decisions. Pastors are people too, with all of the flaws and propensities that suggests.
