Not totally true, deaths, for example, from the comics got RE-MIXED on the show. Character storylines are shifted to different characters in the show but the plots are still there. For instance, in the comic it was Michonne who did the 'Pirate' thing but in the show it was 'Carol'. Carol took on the 'Michonne' COMIC storylines and plot while TV 'Michonne' initially took over Comic Andrea's storyline. Now both Michonne and Aaron are sharing 'Rick's' comic storyline.
It's REMIXED a bit but it's there if you look... And many of the most 'ICONIC' moments from the Comic made it to the show. *Example:* Denise got the 'Arrow to the Eye' instead of Abraham and Abraham 'shared' in Glenn's COMIC death! In the comic Jessie only had one son but because they allowed Chandler to AGE in his role (and with him his character Carl) she had TWO sons but she and one of her sons got their COMIC deaths. There have been RECENT curve balls: Carl & now Rick but it had become quite 'predictable' prior to all of these Main character losses anyway.
