I'm a big fan of smaller wrestlers coming up with versatile finishers. There's a few on this list that might require rethinking if any big guys end up in the promotion.
That's what you get if you don't have Vince McMahon dictating what you can or cannot do. I mean, he even banned AJ Style's iconic Styles Clash and Samoa Joe's Muscle Buster.
@@ShadowMoon878 Styles Clash has been used for most of AJ's WWE career. Muscle Buster was rightfully dropped after Tyson Kidd almost died from it, you can criticise Vince for a lot of things but banning that move for that reason isn't one of them.

What exactly is the problem there? That's kind of how finishers work. Most People take an existing move use it either as is or with a bit of flare and then name it something fancy name. Current concept of finishers have worked that way several decades. You get upset over a pile driver or neck breaker, but not people doing clotheslines?

I get why Chris does the Judas effect (he’s old and the code breaker is getting harder to do clean) but it just don’t hit the same. It don’t look like a finisher seeing as tho almas does it better as a transition
instead of thinking of it as chris getting old think that if he used the codebreaker the crowd would pop and start cheering for Chris by using the judas effect is mean the audience will not cheer for him. That is why Chris started using the codebreaker in the first place

Even some of the Europe-based wrestlers like Jimmy Havoc, Bea Priestley, Sadie Gibbs and Jamie Hayter have to be temporarily let go due to the pandemic. Also, Kris Statlander is out for the long term due to an ACL tear that needs several surgeries.
I dont know why, but I absolutely love the Coffin Drop that Darby Allen does. It's so simple looking, but he adds a lot of flair to the move, making it look amazing. Similar to Jeff Hardys swanton bomb, with his extra flair of waiting til the last moment to turn his head, it makes the move seem more special
Doing a complicated move at whatever consistency you can manage is impressive looking, but doing a simpler move and doing it really well every time is actually entertaining.

Splash bump isn't too bad since you're landing on forearm essentially, but it's still quite a nerve shock all the same. No chance really of hitting your head, though. Falling backwards, wrestlers are trained to jolt the neck in to absorb the shock (and have built neck muscles to allow such a thing). The arms striking to the side helps that too, putting shoulder muscles (again, usually quite built ones) in the way like a pillow. Falling forwards is a lot trickier. Far more difficult to jolt the neck backwards quickly. The standard practice is to turn your head sideways instead, and block with your hands. Avoids the change of hitting your nose on the ground. A Benoit style headbutt was especially dangerous, as he made a point of not putting his hands in front of his face. Some people can do this reliably but he's the example of how difficult it is to tell if someone's doing it right or if they're just not caring that they're doing it wrong. Coffin Drop, way less dangerous move than diving headbutt. Actually probably one of Allin's less dangerous moves, given the other stuff he does. I wouldn't call his style safe, but I wouldn't call his finisher the main danger. Of course if it's done wrong it's still absolutely possible to seriously hurt yourself off it, as with almost any move and especially high elevation moves in general.
after watching this as a somewhat knowledgeable causal fan of AEW is that, The Young Bucks have absolutely the best (most entertaining) finishers of all the tag team finishers, their cohesion is otherworldly and timing is amazing.. I’m going to check their promo work now :)

Any move can potentially be harmful, dangerous or even deadly, but there are several on this list where there are too many variables in execution or that many of those variables are not controlled by the wrestlers. While these moves look cool and many can be performed safely, A couple of these, the slightest of slips can kill.
