God is I Am. We find Him in the present. He desires our attention, right now, in the immediate. Having the grass for just right now, means that we must keep our attention on Him, right now, always.

What you are saying is that God created you a worrier. How much do you really believe that you are a Child of God, made in his own image and according to his Will, not the your will, not of the blood, the Will of God. You can do nothing to be His child. You just have to believe… what are you believing about you? What you says about you: his planting for the display of his splendour, a saint, a holy one, you are one with him… or what you mind tells you…Look up Prophet Lovy and let his teaching quickens your spirit.

So many miss the point of the scriptures. If the people explaining the scriptures without Jesus means they are mislead. The psalm is about Jesus. Jesus's shepherd is His Father. These are Jesus's words prophetically written by david. Also read luke 24.
      John 5:39 (KJV)
Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
Now read psalm 23 as Jesus cries out to His Father

What Truth! What beauty! I have been praying to be delivered and I heard from the Lord this morning that I have been waiting for something Big, something Monumental to happen. He said, He is the 'still small voice', I Kings, He 'directs my steps' Proverbs, to follow and obey what I have heard and 'persevere' James and to 'abide in Him', John. Then He told me to look at the Lambs and the Shepherd-this led me to watch this video! Hallelujah!🙌

Gods grace is more than enough.. At times, His ways may be confusing for us to comprehend but God wants us to trust Him, follow and rely on Him just like the shepherd. We are the flock, we follow and we will feed by His green pastures of His Word, be quenched our thirst by the still waters of His Holy spirit and be totally restored in our whole being, our soul..

PASTURE in Hebrew is Naah (H499)the same word for home and Habitation. The dry world after man sinned is now our Home. We lived each day of need and hunger. A sheep can only have a grass if the sheep walks bowing his head, follow and listening to the shepherd.
A lot of dust and rocks everywhere for the sheep instead of a green farm land will make the sheep stumble every day. (A valley of the shadow of death) The good thing is the shepherd is there and the shepherd knew exactly where he leads the sheep. When the sheep falls or stumble THE SHEEP KEEPS moving, this is the right path anyway.
GREEN in Hebrew is Deshe (H1877) the same word for Herb. The Good shepherd provides us not only grass but healing us each day.
I love the new grass the sheep can feed, it reminds me of God's love that is new every morning. A new grass we need each morning to seek it first (the tender grass of the morning - the word of God)
A new grass each morning reminds me that God loves to provide me fresh and new things. Thanks for your video, it changed the way i see Psalm 23. GOD BLESS. GLORY TO GOD

I've never heard an illustration like this. I like it! Before, I thought of "green pastures" like large fields of grass. Now that I've seen this, I see how wrong I was. Technically, if you're surrounded by grass, why would you need anyone's help? The grass is everywhere. I see the need for the Shepherd to actually take me to where He knows I need to be. And I need to trust and follow Him, even though I might not see any green grass for a long time. He knows where it is.

Another interesting side light is that once an animal like these sheep have adapted to harsh conditions, being plopped down in knee-deep alfalfa with access to sweet feed could actually kill them.
We once met a caretaker at a living history farm. He cared for a historic breed of sheep that had been shipwrecked off the coast of Virginia for several hundred years.
When he came on the scene at the farm, the sheep were dying. No one could understand why because they had all the grass, hay, and sweet feed they could possibly want.
The problem was, that having adapted to thriving on whatever scrub they could find on the island, like the sheep in the video, too much abundance overwhelmed their systems. They may have enjoyed easy access to everything they could possibly want, but in the end, it wasn’t what they actually needed to thrive.
It’s just human nature to want it easy, but easy isn’t always what’s best for us.

Maybe i am missing something but the hebrew in Psalm 23 says God makes them 'yarbitz' - (lie down) - in green growth/sprouts 'dashe'. -- Not, "walk along a path and graze and eat sprouts as he suggests in this video. Lying down, green pastures and still water is an image of restful abundance, not scarcity. Very different imagery.

He started off saying "This is called green pasture.." and then started to build his case on that statement, but who exactly called that place green pasture? Was it named green pasture in the times of David? The gospel is given to everyone including the poor and uneducated and God speaks to everyone directly through his word. The most immediate sense of the meaning is usually the intended. Let us not read into the Bible theology based on today's culture and context. The immediate context of the Scripture is "I shall not lack", so the green pastures obviously points to the abundance of God's provisions

    • @etiennevandermerwe5990
      @etiennevandermerwe5990 Před 5 lety +6

      Hallo George,
Yes, the Bible should be taken at face-value. But face-value for a people in a desert might be exactly what he is saying...and a little is never too little with Him and therefore abundace: the sheep do have abundant feed, they are not starving and can breed, bring life into the world - is that not abundance? So in this life, before our good Lord restores all fully, we are also often a desert people, longing for His coming. But we have the assurance and certainty that He will provide enough manna for us, enough for each day; and we will be able to shine His light and enlarge His Name, even in the desert. This is His abundance, is it not? That we can be without fear of lacking, and even contribute to the Glory of His Name - when we have very little to go by, whether this is spiritual or financially or whatsoever manner of lean times. A little is never too little with Him, and therefore it is abundance in Him Who breaks the bread. In the desert, there was plenty enough water from the rock, but they did not swim in it. Lord bless
