The band responded to someone asking them to play certain songs live that they haven before and they responded saying a lot of the songs requested couldn't be played live for certain reasons, they agreed with the commenter that they should do Sidewinder live so we might see that during next summer's tour. At least I'm hoping!

I love when music can just trigger your mind and put you in a space just by listening.
Great video as usual. City of evil is by far my favorite A7X album. So many of the songs like this one are out of the box and unique. Check out almost any of the songs on that album to be blown away buy an epic piece of music like this. Sidewinder, blinded in Chains, Beast and the Harlot, Mia, betrayed, Trashed and Scattered, I've basically name the whole album almost. But you wouldn't be disappointed with any of them

They've got every kind of song, the short and long one, the metal and just rock or some kind of orchestral song, sad or angry songs.. You choose. I don't want recommend to you what song to listen because everyone's taste is different.

Avenged Sevenfold is so sick. You could pick random song after random song and not hit a bad song. Sunny Disposition and Unbound are probably my two favorite songs but you can't go wrong honestly.

This song makes me think of Tombstone, one of the coolest Westerns ever made. Kurt Russell was really good, as were Sam Elliott and Bill Paxton, but Val Kilmer’s Doc Holliday was legendary.

BUT CHECK THIS OUT. this is where i personally believe it gets you on the subconscious level which gives you the answer to the question WHY.
(Sitting in silence) (I prayed every night) connected with everything else. i believe that is what is picked up subconsciously, because of course it doesnt make sense literally. but is makes perfect sense emotionally. and i think that is where the emotional impact is pushed over the edge and gives us the goosies

Wicked End is one of my favorite epic songs of theirs. A Little Piece of Heaven twisted, but such a dark story and awesome video.
This song could be a western. A man, whose family is killed, goes on a vengeful assault. Killing his family's killers, knowing that he's doomed to hell for doing so while his family moves on to heaven. Great song. Probably my favorite

I play drums in my free time, and I LOVE playing along to this song! The outro with the orchestra literally brings me to tears when I'm behind my set. It's on another level, honestly.
And if you enjoy long, Avenged Sevenfold album finales with dark lyrical subject-matter, you gotta listen to Save Me. It's one of their most progressive tracks, and it's the finale of their Nightmare album. The lyrics are about coping with the death of a loved one (in this case, their drummer, The Rev).
Interesting song choice. City of Evil is their masterpiece. Can't believe they recorded this album when they were 23 years old.

Dude, this is their second best in my opinion, I absolutely love this song. But their all time best is MIA from that same album. This album was released when I was on my second deployment to Iraq. My buddies and myself heard MIA and thought it absolutely fit what what we went through over there. Yeah, that may make me slightly biased, but in my opinion, their best ever song is by far MIA. If you haven’t already, check it out, it’s a long one too and has same type of tempo as strength of the world. You will like it I know. 🇺🇸

That is a band you will enjoy, I have no doubt. Would be cool to see start your Volbeat journey reacting to either "Seal The Deal" or "Doc Holiday". Avenged Sevenfold is my favorite band! With that said. I'm not trying to take anything off this song, but I honestly wouldn't even put this in my top 25 A7X songs. I think my favorite reaction to see you do would be A Little Piece Of Heaven (the music video). And my top 5 usually varies but is usually something like this in no particular order... Unholy Confessions, Chapter Four, Bat Country, Buried Alive, and Victim. I think you try out those songs as well, Though I think you have done one or two of those.

I can tell you why it's deep... after my parents passed away and I grew up in an orphanage from age 7 to 10, that's all I did every night... for new parents... adopted from Ukraine by an American pedophile... fought him off... learned he moved on to my younger brother and got the cops involved... put away that motherfucker for 48 years... went through foster care for 4 years... and been living on my own for 11 years now... that quote really connects with me from through all I've been, the redemption, only to be dissatisfied and falling from grace and working my way back to it...

It's their longest song, easily (15-ish minutes long). Huge intro that really builds up and is not boring.
They have a wide selection of songs over 4 minutes. In fact short songs by them are more rare than long. You should check out buried alive. Good slow first section leading to an epic second half. Unholy confessions or darkness surrounds (for some incredibly unique and epic drumming) lot of variety and changes from their old vs new styles with this band.
The start of the song is what would happen if the soundtrack producers for Red Dead Redemption and Skyrim made a song together, I love it!

Yo man, I aint gonna comment no suggestions since they are already flooded in here. I wanna write a genuine comment saying thanks for shining some light on this band, I particularly enjoy your perspective / optimism regarding music. A7X are my all time favorites, they helped me through too much crap to describe. They are a very hit-and-miss band, either you like them, or you don't; and from what I can see you are feeling it the same way I do. Keep it up man, I'll watch on for sure.
- Side note in case you were wondering why the singer (M. Shadows) is much more nasally in his singing on this song than the previous one you heard: That's basically the style he went with in the City of Evil album. On albums a bit later such as the Self-titled album, and Nightmare, he accentuated more on his raspy vocals, which personally sold me completely.
