The fact that a pig can throw a boomerang, fail to catch it and then get bullied by all surrounding pigs is so fitting to them.
I knew mobs had inventories, but I didn't know that pigs would have items displayed on the models wow.
Spiders (if webber),pigmen, bunnymen, merms (if wurt) can all be given hats as well any hat at all I used to in earlier days of DST beta would show people this by crafting a garland or handing them spare top hats people made
iirc, any mob with the hunchback model will! I think this is because the primemate captain can be seen holding an oar. Or maybe it existed before that, but there is at least one mob that uses it.
I have a friend who makes mods, she’d probably know more about it

This is pretty interesting. it does remind me that the Royal Guards from the Hamlet DLC are wearing log suits by default, the only creature I can think of who's using the body slot intentionally.
This is what I've been fighting about in the forums - let's have followers have cooler fighting mechanics. Weapons, armors, staffs - just give them anything funny they can use and utilize on it. It could be extremely fun to use them at that point, despite what the few people think of it being 'bad' or whatever.

That does kind of make me wonder if the inventory of the mole stays if you put it inside a bundle. Because then you can basically have a bundle be 12 inventory slots for rocks Trinkets and minerals

That's a great idea for a follower update! I would love if pigs could carry stuff and use brightshade gear lol.
You can use the storage trick on merms with fish since they do not eat them but still accept them.

thats also an explanation for why all the merms also drop a live fish its because they all have fish pets.
Honestly I immediately went on a mental diatribe on if it would somehow be possible to make a mob carry heavy backslot items around for you in their inventory somehow

in klei's valentine animation you can spot pigs with spears and hammers maybe it has to do with them
Moose/Goose becomes a willow main.
You can give food items to the pigs while they are aggro onto something and they will hold onto it until after the fight.

It's crazy the things you find on this game. I don't know if anyone would've found out Moose Goose can be armed with Fire Staves if you hadn't.
You forgot about walter amunition (the mole bundle), this was a meta to store all ammo as a Walter player ;p
Now we need a mod that adds this feature to the mobs

I noticed that mactusk had a weapon it uses from the console
He says it would be fun, untill you realize how much dps webbers could gain even by just giving spiders a ham bat, it would be brocken as heck, no wonder its not implemented
Easy fix would just be cap followers

yeah durability still drains when the items are used by the creatures

you cant give hand items normally so you need a code to spawn them with it equipped. and the helmets you just give them naturally

Umm most things that cause crashes are usually because of mods. When a crash happens you will usually see what was the reason when it does happen.

Not really its just giving the mobs items mobs have a checker for what they can accept from players
But spawning them in with the items bypasses the checker
In all honesty though of what's really happening here the developers probably created the inventory component first for the player so that's why these creatures have equipment slots . They just add the component to creatures that need the inventory slots and make it so they can't accept anything other than what the developer wants them to accept
