This album passed under the rader of most of SY's material, but is actually one of their better efforts. It is a true concept record and reflects the city and it's goings on in rythmic kind of grooves. Give it a whirl...Sounds good live too. Thanks for the post !
I do like this album but I think it's been under the radar because it's not as good as the other albums. I think every SY album is amazing, so, this one being great, it might be one of the worsts. My opinion.
NYC Ghosts and Flowers is totally one of their all-time best albums that I never get tired of hearing to this day, their title track one of Lee's best all around, and everything else from Thurston and Kim some of their best too.
This album is just incredible,I have never understood how little known Sonic Youth are in the UK,have been into then since I was a youth and I'm nearly 52 ..love them.
