Both cars were all over the place, they need to run that back on the low low without the 5k spectators. Just have each side teams there, the camera dudes and no one else.

Gtr got scared from the civic torque steering to the left so he anticipated a hard overcorrection to the right potentially getting into his lane, but he never got in his lane nor did he cross the line. This is especially apparent from the Gtr pov cam at 18:12

This was the best street racing video I've seen so far. All the launch angles were appreciated.
The reaction between the launch and realizing the headlights need to be switched on! Then fighting the car to go A to B. You were in harmony! The universe was definitely on your side that day.
Civic even slowed down for a few sec not to crash, and still gapped Godzilla. Loved both cars! They passionately built and gave good investments. What a race, Respect both driver and cars.
To be fair, the GTR let off the gas twice. After the civic corrects itself and they both put the pedal to the metal again you see the GTR actually pulling harder than the civic but then the GTR lets off again. Would love to see this race again but gone properly, both cars at full power from start to finish.

The Civic had God on his side pertaining to the center line. He touched it but did not cross it completely, so he was in the clear. Great skills and luck, especially with a car in that power bracket.

Born in the Philippines and also stayed in Thailand for a a few years, saw crazy races like these. Usually what they do is either they run it back or they have races for 3 hits. 1st hit will be chose ur own lane then swap lanes. If it's 1-1, then go back to the original lanes, to hit it one last time. Its how street races in Asia for both motorcycle and cars at times in order not to have fights and confusions. Especially if the bet is quite big as well. Great race though! Keep it up Tai! 💯
