No More Bad Townies in The Sims 4 | Stop Randomized Sims!

- I've gotten numerous questions on how I have such cute townies in my game. Here's a quick tutorial! This trick allows you to create your own NPCs and townies! By the way, I realized after the fact that most of the townies populated in my new save file were actually maxis created and that sim with blue hair did not have CC on lol. Sorry! As you can see, I never use the maxis created sims.
Also, if you begin to notice randomized townies are starting to populate your game again (and you have your import tray percent is already set to 100%), you may need to add more sims into your library.

Somedays it's kind of annoying being a perfectionist..because now I have to go personally make 100 sims by hand.
You can download from gallery then forget about them let them spawn.

Here's a tip for anyone doing this! When you open the gallery, set the household size to 7-8, replace the current sim. Then you'll have 7-8 sims that you can tweak however you'd like, and make things go a bit more quickly.
I always looked at those features of MCCC and thought "nah, waste of time learning all this now" and now you have shown me just how much I've shot myself in the foot
theres a couple mods out there that stop all townie generation, problem is there creaters havent kept them up to date, the best ive found is the zeros no random mod, however youll need to remove the Roles file, or theres a wierd glitch that happens when sociallizing, so other than randos popping up to do the random bits of work like bartenders, paperazzi, stall clerks and such there is no townie generation at all, he also on the same page has a link to another mod that allows you to personally select which sims do which jobs so you can atleast slow the flow of random potatoes being generated by replacing the workers with sims already in the game
its also MUCH more user friendly than the MCCC in my personal opinion

If you’re just willing to modify sims manually, you can shift click on any sim an ‘modify sim in cas’. I just change the really terrible ones.

@@hannardeeyou do need to enter the cas full edit mode cheat first otherwise you’d only be able to edit their clothes and makeup
that doesnt work longterm unfortunately 🫠 they will override your choices and continue to randomise their outfits, you have to use some of the more complicated mccc to stop that

I remember I did this a while ago, I called firefighters once to get my sims hooked up with a firefighter of course and two surprisingly attractive sims came over 😂 The girl and the guy. But they were in a relationship with each other !??? And I never remembered I did that.
You can also access the MC settings that you normally need a computer for by putting mc_settings in the cheat console c:

Me either. My anti virus blocks the gallery so I have been saving my 100 baby challenge kids ( I love that challenge) to my library since I started playing the Sims 4. (I even have a spreadsheet etc so none of them have the same name.) I have been playing the Sims since sims 1 but my anti virus didn't mess with those. Anyhow, I HAAAATE CAS (and build/buy) so I started saving the kids so I could reuse them for games and to use as baby daddies/matriarchs in future 100 baby challenges and just regular games. So when they age up to young adults I just CAS them once and save them, I have hundreds of Sims now. Now I can (if it will work for me) use them all for this too. Has saving them to avoid having to CAS one new sim to start a new game worth all the trouble? Now it has been.....🤣 I don't use CC or anything and spend very little time in CAS, so they are not "cute", but they won't cause you to trip over a sim doing push-ups while you puke up your boba tea looking at the sim looking like the tragic clown at a pool party ....

The way I’ve been doing it is that I choose a few townies to look fashionable and cute, more worried about their looks, and then others I barely try for and give them some tacky fits or outfits that are “thrown together” to give each sim a similar feeling to real life and how people dress depending on their style (or lack of.)
Plus it’s fun to figure out their personality and likes/ lifestyle and dress them around that too. That’s the most fun part.
It’s tedious for sure going through each new townie I see…but thankfully I only have 1 added world to the 3 base games…so it’s not like I have all the pack worlds to go through lol

Thank you, I had to watch your video again and do it again, because I had to remove the old MCCC when the patch came out to update my game, and I lost my settings file, so now I did it again and it seems to work pretty fine. Thank you

Yo, here I was trying to tolerate these randoms and here you are with them fab sims. I have been living alie this entire time ;-;
So I was checking out the Realistic Childhood Birth mod and the one that gives you an option for Science Babies to be Instant using this and finding out that my Obstetrician was also my Sim's Partner was a confusing experience not only for me but the Sim that was giving Birth

For zipped files you don’t need an extractor! Just double click and it will open to all the files

@@INeedYouToBreathe Yup! You just select them like you would any file and drag them out. I guess at some point, Windows started treating zip and rar riles like they're just regular folders, so you can treat them as such.

Hi! I followed this exactly, with setting my important tray setting to 100% etc but it won’t work!! I still only get random townies, and the ones in my library doesn’t show up in the other households option :( I loved your tutorial tho, any help would be much appreciated!

Hiiii!!! I tried doing this and now random townies are regenerating as the same people with the same outfits but different names so ultimately I have multiple of the same people! Is there anyway to avoid this?

My God, that ''import tag only'' option is so useful for letting it only draw from a selection of sims you *want* to be put in the game randomly at any time. I don't want sims from some of my more elaborate households just randomly popping into existence without their relatives and stuff. xD

Thank you for this incredible tip! These random townies drive me crazy. I spend so much time doing makeovers, more than actually playing the game. I have a question tho : if you have more than one save file and don't want households to repeat in all your saves, you have to do the settings in each save and choose the option with the hashtags, so you can decide which households go in each save, right ? Once the townies are in your save file they won't be deleted if you then turn off the mc population setting, right ? Cause I'm thinking if you do that in different save files, you won't put the hashtag for the same households and for the game to not generate other townies from your library, you need to then turn off the mc population setting.
Hope you get what I'm talking about 😅 Sorry if it doesn't make sense 😭
If you have multiple save files, you will have to use one of the hashtags. The townies in your save file won’t be deleted unless you delete them in manage worlds.
I think it may be best use the bypass hashtag for your other save files and place the household manually from your library or cas.

I’m new with sims and my question is after I add these sims from the gallery into my game how can I change something in their lives like jobs and houses without making them my households? This has been so confusing to me
Hiii! You’ll need to place the sims in the house you want to live in and then choose their job in live mod. Then you can go back to your usual sim and the townie will still be living and working at the things you chose.
Do I have to the delete all the townies to the mod to work? For example, I want to leave some townies and then do a makeover to them but if I want also others from my library do I have to delete all currently townies even the ones I want them to stay?

There's any mod that substitutes clothes that aren't in the game? I'm sick of my townies being bald or naked cuz I deleted the content they were using
