- I've finally caved and am checking out some Supreme Commander mods! These are from the Supreme Commander Forged Alliance Forever website, and I've been able to download ultra prototype weapons, new maps, and more! Today we'll be messing with giant spider robots, giant beetle bots, and other super weapons!

you need a processor from the year 3000 to run it without slowdown though

moving to a spot attack moves and it will kill anything that comes in range.....Your triggered is because you are ignorant....

also kibitz if you know about the elite commanders i bet that the elite commanders will destroy the faf prototypes
There is a los where the cybran has an experimental nuke defense that is literally impetrable
Im tellin ya the elite commander is just like the normal commander but better.What made them so op was that they could teleport straight into an enemy base at any moment.
what mod has the elite commander unit that looks like a beefed up version of the commander and has the option to build Extreme Wars modified units and normal units
Kibitz you can even set to auto build anti-nukes.

You should vs LITERALLY THE WORLD. All cheating ai like 6 of em turn nukes off and let em build up a little more after the timer. The ensuing chaos and GLORIOUS BATTLE will be remembered FOR YEARS!!

One time i had a mod for this game that had a experimental elite commander for cybran eon and seraphim
and let me tell ya the one i liked to most when it comes to it's weapons was the cybran elite commander.

Great Vid! I have tried at least 5 times to start a game and I keep locking the economy up and am getting beyond frustrated....
I'm right there with ya. I watch Gyle's millions of narrated games (check him out search: Gylecast or gyle) but I've gotten so frustrated playing bc I lock up eco too. there is not an automatic pause of previous que's when you spend money on new stuff, it's sorta realistic and hard. I'll watch 1 or 2 hour long 16 player games all day tho.

Do you know a patch to make more big the text, menus, icons in 4k?, for this game.
unfortunately there isnt, at least none that i have found. 1080 seems to be about as good as it gets sadly.
1440p is playable - the menu UI doesn't scale but you can get strategic icons - for the unit icons on strategic map you can install "Advanced Strategic Icons" which lets you resize them (also changes the icons making them more distinctive)

Plus, do you not launch the game via the client ? It's just that you lack the attack-move button on the bottom left... Well, no biggy. Probably. It's just that you can use Alt + right-click for the same but it's not indicated anywhere... just like my beloved Ctrl + right-click command ! You really thought I would not drag it up once again, don't you !? Naive !!
Plus², do you ever mess arou... I mean... Play very seriously with the Seraphim ? Their experiemental are just insane yet I never saw you play with them. Am I blind ? Or are you ? I mean when I think Kibitz, I think "EXPLOSSSIOOOONNNN!!!", so I'm curious about why you never use the Experimental Strategic Bomber and even more the Experimental Strategic Launcher. Trust me, you will not find bigger explosion anywhere.

Also I don't play Seraphim because I don't like the looks of their units mainly, but I might do a vid focused on their strat bomber
@@ImKibitz Sure. While it's not that complicated, it's not necessarily obvious either.
Do you see the tabs at the bottom of the FAF client ? You may be interest in the 3rd and 4th.
The 3rd is about coop, campaign mission and more importantly, custom mission, like playing as the seraphim during the first mission of FA campaign (though, this one is quite hardcore compared to the original one).
The 4th is the skirmish mode, the one you're looking for. The available custom game created by other players are display on the right. If you want to create a game yourself, double-click on one of the icone on the left. The "FAF" one is the normal one, the version community-maintained as they says. The others... are all mods ! Without the hassle of installing them ! You may want to try the Xtreme Wars ! I'm unsure if the other mods are AI-supported (Claustrophobia is not, I tested it).
After double-clic on one, you'll be ask to name the custom game, to choose if you want it public or friend only and if you want to put a password. For playing alone, choose friend only and put a password, just in case. You can also choose the map before entering the lobby but you can change it once you're in so don't bother. Sorian AI mod is integrated in the base game, when you choose the AI, you will be able to choose a Sorian one below the normal one. They are basically less dumb AI.
Once you are done messing arou... Ahem... I mean, configuring carefully all the options in the lobby, check the "ready" button at the far right of your name (even in solo, yeah. Actually, it took me some time to realize with the launch option was grayed out. Am I dumber than the AI !?) and you're good to go ! Launching a game that ways will change 2-3 thing in-game, like the attack-move button I was talking about, wreckage in water or automatically building 4 mass stockage around an mass extractor by right-clicking (or using the assist command as you like using the button ^^) on it with an enginner (or the ACU if he's at least T2) if he's not in the proccess of upgrading.
Trust be told, as I play only via FAF, I don't remember all the difference as it has been a loooong time since I played via Steam. ^^'
You may want to chack the 8th tab too, it's were you will find some other mods (quite old for some but mods nontheless) and some custom map. Navigation could have been better though, as there is no filter for size or player's number by example. Once you found one you fancy, click on the liiiiittle download icone right next to the "download" word. It actually took me some time to understand that too. Don't laught (too much).
That's it for what you want to know. But here some more tips :
- You can see the ETA of a building and the others who will come holding Shift, but do you know you can move or cancel out some without completly cancel all your build order ? Just hold Shift + Ctrl and drag them with a left-click if you want to move them or right-click if you want to cancel them.
- Holding Shift + Ctrl will also show you the reclaimable mass on the map and it's quantity.
- Speaking of Crtl, if you move a group of unit while holding Ctrl, they will advance in formation ! You can change the formation type by holding the right-button and click with the left. The shadow of your unit will show you what the formation will look like.
- Wanna lead an army with an Support ACU ? Just select your army and use the assist command on him, then move only him. The army will move accordlingly to your Support ACU. Try out with different units !
