The Hotel/Seattle always gives me goosebump. When "I wish my dead would hunt me" came out it was speaking to me like no other song after I also lost so many family member during 2020 and 2021.

If we could see ourselves in every animal, every enemy, every faucet of our own being, how could we choose to kill ourselves?
We're searching for the demon, and that too, is us. We can never solve this problem, of the world killing itself. We become aware of this demon only to feel it's pain, and in the end this love has to be enough.

This is amazing, Ben. I particularly appreciate the one about the meat and the taco line, with the gruesome imagery. In fact, all the honesty about food in this is excellent and much needed. Also the synth-voice rap in that whole section really got me going. Rhythmically and lyrically right on.
I almost don't have any words to offer after my second viewing. They've been swept away by your imagery and tones. You somehow continue to dig deeper each time and reach something so fundamental and yet in a way that takes you on this journey that only you could dream up through your years of dedication and contemplation. Just insanely stunning and wholy inspiring me to reach for the next rung of my own journey. I hope the Blender org knows about you - you're the music world's Ian Hubert.

What I love about your music is that what it does for me evolves through time, and your whole discography is somehow there for me in different ways, always. What I love about this EP is that is visually and audially illustrates the feeling of alienation and detachment from reality I seem to be experiencing. It feels and sounds and looks like what it is to not fully experience life and to be fed things that happen to me rather than to go out and grab hold of events. I appreciate that there's now something I can use to explain and explore what that's like instead of just dealing with it on my own. Thank you, Ben! This is colossal!

i forgot the closing song was titled "seattle" in this video because it's called "the hotel" on bandcamp... i've been feeling very homesick for that city, in all its chaos. battling the longing to return to a familiar setting where all the people i love live while being simultaneously terrified of the demons and ghosts that haunt it. because i know that when i return i will face them. thanks for being vulnerable, ben. your songwriting has been something of a divination source. i can't get enough of this album
