In this video, I demonstrate how to copy visible cells and paste only to visible target cells when using a filtered list in Microsoft Excel. If you do not know this trick you end up pasting over visible and hidden cells.

Thanks a lot Chester. I had watched several videos on You tube regarding the fill option. However your video has provided the solution in most simple and logical way. Thanks a ton.

Hi, I trying to copy a row of data from Sheet A to Sheet B. Both Sheet has same format with hidden column. Problem is somehow by default when i copy it, the copied data is excluding hidden data. And when i paste it, data will paste on the hidden column. I hope you understood and can advise on it. Thx!

Fabulous! You saved me finally!
smart solution, I would add another column with 1,2,3 and so on and you can use this one to sort back to original order.
Very useful! Thank you!
Good video. Is there another way to paste values from a sheet into a filtered table in another sheet without removing the filters first? This particular document has many columns with preset filters so it can get messy... Thanks
This. Did you figure this out ?

Ok but for the 2nd part of video how do we resort the cell to how they were before after we copy pasted?
what i want to fill using the values but not the formula? (technically filling using paste special)
sooooo helpful!
Thank You!
Great guidance! Saved me tons of time!
Thanks a lot!
Amazing video !!!
Is there a way to paste let say 10 values copied from an Unfiltered column into a filtered column (of course the visible number of rows are 10 to fit the copied data perfectly..)
filtered to filtered copy is not an issue.
i am talking about unfiltered to filtered copy-paste of same size space
thanks for guidance its help me so much! i have subscribed ur chanel =)
Thank you!
Thank you so much Dear for the perfect solution.
Ma Sha Allah, very nicely explained

Cell color "trick" ftw! Thanks!
👍
My saviour, thanks for the vid
Glad I could help
great! thank you so much😀
we can use column also right? can you pls show us that.
Great content! I just have a question. After the pasting, how do you remove this sorting? My data has to become to its orijinal format which is before the sorting.
you can try adding a new column with accending #, proceed with the pasting, and sort the index # to return to its original order
thank you so much
Genius!! +++
Found it useful
Thank you
It's amezing
Thanks
Awesome
brilliant
thanks
I have filtered values which I want to copy to another filtered cells ( same count of cells)
THANK YOU OMG you just earned a sub
How to put those top sorted 3 rows back to their original places?
how to go back to where it used to be after sorting by color?
Wow Sir
This isn't working for me for some reason😩 I selected a blank column first because I want to paste into that blank column, then I highlighted the column that I want to copy from, and did fill, and it filled with values from another column in my spreadsheet that was not highlighted. I also ideally want to copy and paste a column that has a formula in it and paste just the values. Why the heck did Excel make this so complicated!?
But I don't want to disrupt the filtering, especially when sorted alphabetically. Is there another way that you can past in filtered cels without getting rid of the filter?
yes its not in there
What.. it changes the row order ..need to paste in to only visible cells without changing the row order
I can't sort the list, how can i do it?
Thank a lot
謝謝!
Many thanks
How to paste into other sheet!
thanks cell colour is working
what if the items are not side by side?
What happens if in column C you have formulas and in column B you want to paste only the values? I tried the method but I get NA? How can I paste only the values?
Did you find this?
