      yeah, he reminded me of my sempai, he will kick to the head but lightly, but if you increase your intensity, he will too, like his kicks to your legs and the punches. The female sempai was different though, she never took it easy, all her kicks and punches are almost 100% intensity.

    great sparring,black belt shows great restraint but at the same time not taking it completely easy, white belt is very good for that level,but seems to have previous martial arts experience..

      0:26 It is not Taekwondo kicks. He maybe a member of another full contact karate society member but changes to this club so he has to restarted his belt

      don't be deceived by the belt color. I know people who have sat on a color for long lengths of time. Some of it because life gets in the way of gradings

      He should concentrate more on the basics and proper learning instead some fancy moves. Enough time for that later. Has not even the proper balance and distancing for this stuff right now.

    THE BLACK BELT IS AMAZING. HE HAS GOOD CONTROL OF HIS POWER. I got one idiot in my class. throws full power head kicks all the time

    My guess is this white belt is a colored belt holder in some other Karate (such as shotokan) but he is a white belt in Kyokushin Karate. The black belt dude, his form and technique looks really good. I guess that is how Kyokushin Karate should look. Form is also very important to deliver the proper technique.

      The white belt is one of my kickboxing students with 4-5 years experience. He was just trying kyokushin for a while.

    Very impressed with the black belt here. He has great control, no ego, able to push his sparring partner without being overly aggressive. I would value him as a high quality sparring partner

      They are training for bare knuckles competitions which don't use gloves and knuckles are sharp and cause cuts and illnesses if you want face punches watch kudo

      @@losfromla1480 they do there's plenty of kyokushin competitions that have gloves and even allow grappling but this one in particular is mostly judged by toughness that's what this is about

    ..if I ever take up Kyokushin I'm using my forearm blocks as offensive strikes, same as Goju-Ryu or Uechi-Ryu. I'm gonna change the sport 😂

    Hmmm that’s def not a white belt. At one point he took a light lead leg stance so he probably cross trained in Muay Thai a bit.

    White belt must have done TKD since he has good kicks and clearly has previous experience but TKD doesn’t have full contact or very good hand strike techniques 🤔

    If white belt was the same height as the black belt. Black belt is gonna have a heavy time with sparring, osu.

      @@gigenisgigenis the same for the white belt, its all between the ears, the taller fighter will in kyokushin always have 95% dominant fight over a shorter fighter, just as in this case. And the other 5% wins in a fight no matter how tall they are, those are the specialists in kyokushinkai fighting. And having a black belt gives you that extra motivation from not to loose to a white belt. Its all between the ears, friend. Been there done that. Osu!

      @@ILoveMyself000 Karate rulesets really does like to bias longer, taller fighters though I just realized. No clinching and hand strikes to the face in Kyokushin means that a shorter man has less options when it comes to knocking out a taller opponent quickly, and the taller opponent has an easier time reaching the head with strong kicks.
      In Shotokan, it's more so that the point based rulesets and stance generally bias longer fighters by default of their reach advantage and not having the need to generate as much power whilst also having the superior leverages.

      @@dorkistantkd6233 Body conditioning is top notch, even compared to Muay Thai. And the ruleset allows one to spar at literally any time and subsequently harden the body even further.

    How is this different than Muay Thai? (besides the gi) Because it's very close range like kick boxing

      Kyokushin teaches more kicks than Muay Thai like the sidekick, hook kick, axe kick, and more. They also have spinning kicks and high kicks. Another thing, their round kick is different from the way Muay Thai does it

    I really wish I had stayed in karate I let the way hard that white man had jumped in the air like that hated air Kick like that by doing a backflip I wish I could have done that with the Right moves in timein actually pretty impressed with how they do that sparring karate or any other martial art I still wish you had stayed during 2011 🥋😌🙏🥋

    Why doesn’t kyokushin punch to the head? I know they can kick but why are head punches not allowed? It is cool tho

      Because Mas Oyama when they were allowed to punch to the head no gloves they had broken hands, jaws and bruises and was losing a lot of students but there is Shinken Shobu from the Kyokushin Kan organisation, you are allowed face punches, elbows and takedowns

    I know they don’t punch to the head but he didn’t protect it versus kicks. What about if you got in to a street fight where they punch the head? Don’t get me wrong. These guys are bad ass. Just curious.

      If kyokushin fights in the street we just go full blast face punches, grab knee and elbows and if necessary heavy kicks. We can go full blast for a full minute without getting tired and we are strong. Also if you are a kyokushin fighter like me you probably trained kickboxing for few months/years so blocks and headmovements come natural. Kyokushin isnt the best martial art ever for sure, but when you get to a high level and you do tournements you can fight against other martial arts, and street fight isnt a problem at all ! We are full contact fighters after all

      He wasn't beat up at all and also he is not a newbie despite that he is a white belt he has years of experience in kickboxing. You can clearly see the control and safe sparring.

      @@ContactKicks sorry if what I said came out wrong. I mean in other schools black belts don't even train in front of white belt. But I'm kyokushin they spar against white belt and motivate and also humble them.
      I think it is special to kyokushin. I was just thinking of my sparring with a black belt when I was yellow.

    This is just roundhouse then the other guy round houses back then repeat with some pointless body punches. Karate needs to incorporate proper western boxing training into sessions.

      Maybe because Kyokushin's rules are not about KO your oponent. Also, don't forget punches in the head are forbidden.

    Great! These guys are all training to be the piñata and get their block knocked off by the first boxer or streetfighter they run into. Who TF thought sitting with no head shots allowed was a good idea? I love kyoku-shin-kai but this training modality is seriously absurd. 🤡🌏
