Rahul Ram I don’t. I tried finding a reason they quit by looking at their twitters and such but couldn’t find anything. As far as I can tell they just dropped the channel.

I know it was a serious moment but when he did that weird teleporting move, I couldn’t help but laugh out loud. I thought the dude was made out of Bats. XD I totally agree the tone is a bit different now. I’m guessing it’s because the tone is getting a little darker and it’s giving me some more Buffy feels than ever. Especially that first episode where they carved stakes and the vampires just turned to dust. No complaints here though. Your reaction was the same as mine when Dolls died. I couldn’t believe it. I still don’t wanna believe it but unfortunately he is gone. The actor wanted to leave the show and he chose the way his character went out. I’m hoping that in the future he could still come back if he wants to. It’s a supernatural show so anything can happen. Until then I’m just really gonna miss that sweet dragon man.

Yeah. Unfortunately Shamier wanted to leave and basically gifted them with S2 but Emily couldn't keep holding him back so they gave him the choice of how he wanted to leave and this is what he picked. As for the tone shift.... You're not wrong. There is a serious shift in tone this season. Some of us like it more than others. Of course all opinions are valid, not judging here. Emily did warn us that this season was fucking crazy. And it is. It gets crazy. Boooy, I can't wait to see how you react to episode 3.... All I'll say is keep the klenex nearby. Yeah even though Shamier Anderson wanted to leave the show the way this episode was written was really sloppy and sudden. So many things didn't make sense to me. I ignore a lot of plot inconsistencies and nonsensical stuff when it comes to Wynonna Earp but this episode just blew my mind. Plus the fact that they hyped the hell out of this episode beforehand. Like an unnecessary amount of hype. A lot of hardcore Dolls fans were really upset about how this went down.
this season is so wild. tbh I'm not really sure whats even happening at this point. I think that there are a lot of great things about this show. but yeah its a little...weird and nutty😂
If this episode has taught us anything, is that playing sherades with Waverly would be hella funny 😂. They overhyped this episode when they shouldn’t have. This is a “Sanvers Valentines Day episode” level mistake.
There is definitely a tone shift with this season. Every the first trailer was different. It's darker and a bit more chaotic. Wynonna sending Alice definitely affects Wynonna and Doc and at times they feel a bit ooc. Episode 3 kinda rights the ship but there are a few more head scratcher moments. The episodes don't feel as tight and concise as season 2.
I don't think it's campier. We've had worse before. The bat dude was a horrible actor and kind of ruined that scene for me. My biggest issue was that Nicole had 9 years of experience and in an emergency situation her best recommendation is "drop me?" I don't normally say this, but this episode was actually not written the best. As for the end, Shamier wanted to leave and Emily gave him the option of choosing how he went out, but they could have written it better. Wynonna did explain that she was going into shock which explains seeing her mother. I did find it interesting that basically what the mother was saying was a reflection of what Wynonna was feeling. She's lost so much in the past year and here she was again, on the verge of losing her sister so it was like all of her fears were surfacing. There is a new artistic coordinator which is probably what you're feeling and why the shots are a lot more artistic at times. Also at the beginning of the season the copyright bots went crazy but they've definitely calmed down and I haven't seen anyone getting blocked or strikes so it's probably safe to drop the blur if you keep the footage under 10 mins. I look forward to you reacting to the next episode. :)

Dolls got put on the back burner in season 2 and then Shamier leaving. Episode 1 could have been a bit more Dolls heavy.
