This is our story, a story of three souls sailing around the world. It is a story about sailing and travel and adventure. But it's also a story about meeting amazing people and making life long friends. It's a story of people living their lives in an alternate way, in close connection with the beautiful people and amazing planet that we call home. Our experience has affected us so profoundly we want to share it, hoping that others may find inspiration to follow their dreams and do what they love.

Know this is an older interview but wander if he was friends with a very dear friend who past away a few years ago. John Chalker? He was a crop duster when he wasn't sailing. They would have been about the same generation and the yachting community was quite small back then. He became my adoptive cruising dad in 91 when we met him headed for central America and no GPS they where over two grand in 91. Sextant is great when the weather is good and scary when it's not and you wander where that reef or island is in the middle of the night. Cheers

I first saw GPS on a yacht in 1982 and I was like: what the hell kind of alien technology is this? The box was around 4u (4 x pizza boxes stacked) and the display was super-primitive: LEDs I think - certainly no maps, just LatLng. Periodically, it would go offline and say "Not enough satellites in range".

I think some romance and skill would be put back into sailing if we ditched dirty diesel, and converted to electric, and had regeneration from the prop abilities. If Delos' powerplant ever dies, consider the conversion. Sailing Uma has done this, and they are both incredibly skilled and conscious sailors as a result.
