This is our story, a story of three souls sailing around the world. It is a story about sailing and travel and adventure. But it's also a story about meeting amazing people and making life long friends. It's a story of people living their lives in an alternate way, in close connection with the beautiful people and amazing planet that we call home. Our experience has affected us so profoundly we want to share it, hoping that others may find inspiration to follow their dreams and do what they love.

My favorite two sets of sea Gypsys, together in Fatty's saloon; I loved this posting.
Cap'n Fatty is a true hero of mine. I have read every book he has published, several times. Thanks for this!

You guys are awesome (real). Thank you a thousand times for sharing your journey with us. Cap'n Fatty and his wife are just wonderful. She's soo cute. lol

He is an amazing man to listen to, Courtney! A really cool guy!
He seems like it, would love to hear him talk for an entire evening and a couple bottles of wine. Glad you let Fatty talk and tell his stories his way. Well done interview!
I first went sailing in the 70's at my college's sailing center in Newport Beach, CA and I just now got to wondering what all has changed in sailing since then. So, these 6 videos of yours are the answer I was looking for. Thank you!
I could listen to his sea stories all day!
I’m a newbie to these sailing videos but boy am I hooked!! Just got a new OLED tv and my jaw dropped as the waves roiled around your boat. My epic boating experience was puddling over Ripple Rock en route to Destination Sound...at exactly the wrong time😳. Love to hear these stories!!! The three of you have a lovely vibe...I’m now along for the ride🛶🥂
What amazing and interesting people!! Thank you for filming this. 👍

I hope in twenty years you guys are around ton thee these kind of stories to the next generation who are inspired by you'll.
Wow, amazing and sad at the same time. What a story !
So Delos... here's a great video piece for you to consider. Learn CelNav. The Coast Guard courses are out there. These are great videos. Thanks for taking the time to interview this couple.

Great story teller, love the anchor one! Priceless....
Brian, you almost seem a little star struck... that's cool that you got to meet this good ol boy. I'm really enjoying these videos and Fatty's stories
Got my first gps in may 91. It was a magellan 100 plus and it cost 2,700.00 on sale just lowered from 5,300.00 by 93 they were 200.00 for a garmin. Things that changed cruising forever
Love it. We didn't have the money so we didn't get ours till I believe it was 1992 and think we paid like 200-300.00. It was a big chunk of cruising money at the time. Lol sure be the hell out of sat. Nav and noon site's.
Awesome story about the anchor! Love how that works out sometimes.
i could listen to that guy all day!
Fantastic idea Delos! I'd love to see more of these interviews with the oldies
This is GREAT !!

So, so, so ,so good.
More i want more this is unbelievably good info
That guy has some awesome stories.
I was just reading Fatty's book, this is awesome!
Delos ...
We're all in the cabin with you !
Its like sitting in the 'Chain Locker' , Falmouth.
Thanks for the great video!
I recently got the chance to buy a sextant for 140 Euros. I jumped at it, now planning to learn how to use it... :-)
But first things first: working on my coastal skippers license, meanwhile dreaming of sailing...
Fantastic interview! Congrats from Brasil.
amazing stuff
I would love to see more interviews like this... reminds me of your Totem interview
Captain Fatty - best storyteller ever!
Waiting to catch a plane to the Annapolis sailboat show and got to watch this interview. Great job!
THANK YOU!
Thank YOU for watching, brother!
Great video as always! You guys should do a boat tour next time; looks like it would be an interesting vessel.
I love all the sea people
talking to this fellow looks like a blast
Awesome sailing couple : )
Hilariously funny... entertaining, and instructive ;-)
Angry Chihuahua named Toby loves your content!
Ha HA! Love this!
when i was 18 yo i would run 55 miles off shore in a 19 ft Thunder bird comanche a 1969 model with an evinrude 135 starflite carrying extra cans of fuel to make it home. All I used was a compass. When I told my dad he thought I was insane and gave me a marine radio and a loran c.Thanks Dad I miss ya
Back in the '80s I stored my NACRA 5.8 catamaran in the Dana Point boat yard and every single time I'd pick it up to go sailing i'd have to first go to the local marine hardware store to replace parts stolen off my boat.
Holy shit! The Goodlanders
Ramukanji!
Know this is an older interview but wander if he was friends with a very dear friend who past away a few years ago. John Chalker? He was a crop duster when he wasn't sailing. They would have been about the same generation and the yachting community was quite small back then. He became my adoptive cruising dad in 91 when we met him headed for central America and no GPS they where over two grand in 91. Sextant is great when the weather is good and scary when it's not and you wander where that reef or island is in the middle of the night. Cheers
I wondered if it was me fatty was talking about when he said about rowing a yacht around , I did that for a while when my outboard died and I saved up for a yanmar diesel engine.. but it could have been anyone who was as determined as me to not let small things stop me...cheers
Can u tell if theres any way to order his books and get em shipped to denmark ??
Really hope Fattys book sales go through the roof after this.
At 04:51, could it be Kevin from "How To Sail Oceans" that is mentioned?
#howtosailoceans
He reminds me George Carlin.
Brian, Did this interview make you want to learn more about sailing like how to use a sextant and other sailing knowledge?
I first saw GPS on a yacht in 1982 and I was like: what the hell kind of alien technology is this? The box was around 4u (4 x pizza boxes stacked) and the display was super-primitive: LEDs I think - certainly no maps, just LatLng. Periodically, it would go offline and say "Not enough satellites in range".
Anyone watch the ggr golden globe yacht race. Roll on 2022
I think some romance and skill would be put back into sailing if we ditched dirty diesel, and converted to electric, and had regeneration from the prop abilities. If Delos' powerplant ever dies, consider the conversion. Sailing Uma has done this, and they are both incredibly skilled and conscious sailors as a result.
Pirates make me angry!
PUppys
Whew....thank God I don't own a Hunter...
Who is watching in 2080
You should ghost write this mans life story... and share royalties... what an old Tar... and they had NOTHING when they started to sail!!...
