Excellent stuff. Brings back memories and you realise how quickly time passes by. During this period the WHL was good for 37s on freight.

I do think the West Highland Line is the best line in the land, I also think it was made for Class 37s with those mountains and valleys allowing them to echo and thrash louder & louder :) Great video :)

Great video again Mike, it was better when the 37's were everywhere.
The best capture of the lot was at the Horseshoe Curve.
I've been up there with 47 power, but not a 37.
I was at Inverness with 37025 a few years ago though!

Cracking video there Mike with a stunning long shot to end. Class 37s in the West Highlands always bring back great memories for me and never fails to put a smile on my face. Pity the 37s still aren't there these days, and all that freight too which is now nearly all gone.

Was a Class 37 used as a Thomas the Tank Engine character. I will admit I enjoyed watching that for three reasons: 1) Ringo Starr. 2) George Carlin. 3) Trains. Pretty much that order, too.

As of Nov 2020; here's the status of those ten tractors:
37405 - Currently working for Network Rail RTC
37165 - Believed scrapped - last seen rusting at Carnforth WCRC
    37428 - Scrapped 2013 :(
    37153 - Scrapped 2003 :(
    37179 - Now 37612 with DRS
    37410 - Scrapped 2013 :(
    37430 - Scrapped 2008 :(
37294 - At Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway
    37424 - Now 37558 - aka Avro Vulcan - with DRS
    37404 - Scrapped 2002 :(
37165 is a bit of an odd one. I can find pictures from early 2000's showing it in a very bad state at West Coast's Carnforth depot. Can't find anything newer so I guess she's been scrapped.
