  • We drive to Canterbury and stay at the Camping and Caravanning Club Site for three wet and windy nights in late November 2021. Trev shows what a great site this is with lots of space, facilities and woodland areas.

Hi Trev and Sue. Enjoyed the vlog. Damp weather didn't spoil a nice looking site too much. Thanks for sharing. George and Trish - CaravanningMacs.

It’s a great site. We were not worried about the rain and wind. We did wonder if would ever stop but the third day was fine. Thanks for your comments 😃 Trev

Hi there. Thanks for the tour - certainly looks like a quiet location and the glamping tents were a very interesting addition. We saw loads of these when we toured France and they were really popular.

The glamping tents are definitely a good idea. They have lots of space around them too. Thanks for watching 😃👍🏻🚐 Trev

Not one for click bait are you Trev? 👍😁 I can think of some channels who would have had a title like 'I nearly DROWNED in Canterbury' Those ready camp tents looked a bit green on the wooden fences and bases. Nice bed and very quiet site, thanks for the look around.

Yes, Sue said the same. It’s rare for us to have such a wet weekend so I could have made a right drama out of the storm last week. But I am old school British and I still have my stiff upper lip 🤣🤣 The glamping did look a bit sad in the wet and perhaps the decking could have done with a coat of Cuprinol 😉 Cheers Bob 👍🏻🚐 Trev

Nice site, I do love camping this time of year when there’s nobody about if I’m honest! I left school in 1984 Trev 😂 and I thought I’d been doing it years, got my 1st caravan in 1989

Winter camping is a totally different experience isn’t it. And equally enjoyable. Although we have been caravanning all that time, we have been lucky enough to have visited lots of sunny places across Europe and the US too. We love to work hard and play hard. The last 2 years I gave up the work bit 😂😂 Take care Rick 👍🏻🚐 Trev

We enjoyed this site and weathered the storm. In fact we felt quite safe behind the tall trees which were protecting us from the roaring wind here. All of them survived the blow 😃👍🏻 Trev

Hello Trev, Looks a tad damp but just nice to get away. Heater on in the van sounds good to me. Best wishes, Trevor

It was the weekend of storm Arnow and even though we were in the south east we got the tail end of it 😃 Thanks Trev 🚐👍🏻

Yes I think they are best in summer though. The winters in the UK are damp and cold but there are a few people that still use glamping pods 😃 Trev

@@PoshcatsCamping lol, I can understand that.... outside it sounds like the wind is going to pick up my house and take it away right now, and it has been freezing rain and drizzle all day.

Looks like a nice site Trev. Reminds me a bit of the CCC site at Herford. Seems to go on forever. Oh the bloody bridge over the Thames is a nightmare. 2 times running we've had an accident to deal with going down to Brighton :-( Still, as I always say, I'd rather be in the traffic than in the accident. What a wise man I am :-) Thanks for sharing...

Very wise indeed and we agree the CCC have a style of their own just like the other big club. We enjoyed the location and the staff were as described on their website “the friendly club” and made us very welcome 😃 Trev

CCC call themselves “the friendly club” and we have always found that to be the case. It’s a much smaller organisation and in summer it’s really nice to have a mix of trailer tents and tents with the vans and caravans 😃🚐 Trev

Thanks Trev, Kent is on our to do list for next September. I’ve looked at this site and wasn’t sure but you have convinced me I should book it. Take care Gill

It’s a nice site and the pitches are well spaced in different areas. It is quite a big site but there’s large grassy areas, trees and the woodland at the bottom of the site too. So being a short drive (or park and ride) to the city is quite handy too. 😃🚐 Trev

Nice drive. You were recognized from youtube? That's awesome. We haven't had anyone recognize us while out and about. One thing I like about the van camping is that you can back in or pull in. Trailer you always have to back in.... well unless we get a pull through site. Sometimes that makes me feel like I'm on the wrong side of the site... you know what I mean? Yup were pretty bare here too. Leaves are mostly fallen and on the ground all brown. Nice little payground. Can't believe you didn't have a go at the swings lol. The little tent cabins are cute. Wow 1984. You've been caravanning for a while. Sounds like a decent price. Especially since you get free wifi too. Very nice tour! Now get inside and have a beer and warm up!

LOL this was a nice campsite and being close to the city was a bonus. We couldn’t believe how quiet it was there. We often see people on the road or camping that recognise us. I guess it’s a much smaller country here. It’s great when folks say hello too 😃 Have a great weekend 🚐👍🏻 Trev

Those tent/cabins were pretty cool. I don’t recall ever seeing anything like that. Do they have furniture or kitchen in them?😊👍💕

    • @PoshcatsCamping
      @PoshcatsCamping  Před 2 lety +1

Yes they come equipped with seats and a bed. There’s a barbecue for outdoor cooking too 😃 Glamping in the UK is becoming very popular for couples and families 😃👍🏻 Trev
